Flames still need to overcome their jitters offensively at home and i don't want to start counting chickens but from an observational standpoint it feels like the series has turned in a lot of ways.

I mean what can Dallas do differently to adjust? Open up and trade chances? Good luck with that.

Dallas' best hope is still score first and clog things up to high hell between the blue lines.

Flames were sputtering through 8 of the first 9 periods but its evident especially in that third period that they finally got some traction.

I know that refs often look to make “even-up” calls in most games but this series has them in spades and in order. The number of penalties is virtually even and, if you look at the scoresheet, it is almost always back and forth with the powerplays. Once the flames get one, it’s Dallas’s turn, etc. Also explains why there are so many 4-on-4s… the refs are doing everything they can to keep it a close, perfectly even score.

The better way to keep it even/fair is to not call so much. That way the teams can build momentum. That doesn’t mean let either team get away with murder out there… just call it evenly but not so tightly. There have been sooo many ticky -tack penalties in this series it’s ridiculous - on both sides. That penalty on mangiapane was brutal… but the refs seemed to feel momentum building for a team and they needed to find something to stop it.

From the refs' perspective, they are also doing their best to stop this series from devolving into pure chaos. You've got two physical and somewhat goony teams outright threatening each other. In yesterday's game, the Flames started Lucic for the opening faceoff and he immediately started openly calling out Benn.

There's some truth to the refs throwing a wet blanket on the play, but their motivations aren't entirely malicious either.

Lucic providing some great value there. I know it will be hard to keep our star players while having him on the roster next year but he is proving to be a very nice luxury right now.

Destroying Duchene after he tried to spear Chucky and now telling Benn to step up to him if he wants a fight are exactly the type of things he should be doing.

I wonder if Sens fans have reservations about him wearing a Flames logo on his shirt.

But he looks like one of those 15/16 year old on screen bullies/ teen troublemakers.

He would instantly be cast for Home Alone 6, Goonies 2, and Adventures in Baby Sitting 2.

I don't think the shirt is licensed by the NHL, so their shouldn't be a flaming C on it

Edit: looked again I'm wrong

He’s cheering for his brother, shouldn’t be an issue with anyone

As much as Chucky has been good this regular season, I have no qualms with getting the Drake and 2 1sts for him!

I love the Drake!

Yeah, if he wore a jersey they'd complain but a T shirt with the logo a minor feature - meh.

WTF is up with Keith not wearing red?

It's a Matthew Tkachuk shirt (the "friendship tour" shirt). If a Sens fan has a problem him wearing a shirt that basically makes fun of his brother, they need to be more fun.

I think AC mentioned he seems to be wearing a red undershirt.

Keith your boy is going to light it up the next two games.....

It's a shame there are not more Flames player siblings out there supporting their brothers at the games.

I'm on it. I know. I'm not the only one. I just don't find it constructive.

Just will piss people off the way it pissed me off, and it will keep people from posting their opinions. This place will become the echo chamber you want it to be where only the opinions and post of certain members are welcome and everything else is unwelcome and ridiculed.

I come on here to read all the ups and downs of our team, not to embarrass or discourage people from posting on an open forum.

But go ahead, you do you. And I guess I will limit my posts past this point.
