Their geographic position and historical opposition to Russia has made them a convenient ally, but I do agree with you considering the way their government has gone. There was a time it looked like Turkey was heading in the right direction, but then they veered off the path. It's partly the fault of Europe as once their path to the EU was stymied, they swung the other way.
Nice people at the street level though. I went there as a tourist before and they were very nice, especially once they find out you are Canadian. Hate their government though.

That might explain the couple of Russian flags I just saw being flown by some families at the local community centre. Provocative and dumb.

Was having dinner last night in Montreal and a (sorry to stereotype) stereotypical Russian-looking guy walked in with his shirt unbuttoned too far and a giant gold Z pendant on a thick gold chain. He was built like a tank so I left my knife on my plate

I'm skeptical of the manned Ukrainian aircraft losses unless they were before all the AA was destroyed. TB2 losses seem probable but worth it when you consider what Russia lost.

Celebrated Square Root Day
|
****, I stand by my feelings earlier on in the thread towards continuing to humanize russian soldiers without cheering on their deaths with satisfaction, that I got absolutely roasted for, but man it gets harder and harder. I'll remain that way though, as it's important to me as a person.
But still.....****.
