That was the show's producer. Marek initially made fun of him thinking the complaint was the game was on too late. Nope. He's just a dud who doesn't appreciate great nail biting hockey.

I mean to be fair, the game was definitely boring. If you're a casual fan, that's not a game you're going to get engaged with.

Yeah this. Spector kept trying to sound like he was laughing it off, but he was clearly defensive. I think Boomer sensed it and tried to back off a bit, defending Mike Smith's gaffe a little as Spector was. But Pinder wasn't having any of it and jumped right in to continue what a poor decision it was. Loved it.

And hearing the Oilers press/management keep defending Mike Smith makes me happy. You're right, it's not his fault, he's a great goalie, just keep sending him out there as your #1 for the foreseeable future...

Yup, should give him 1 year extension for every playoff win.

If I was having to hear that on the Radio the easy way to shut up Spector would be to say, "If Oilers won those 3 OT games would you count them as wins? Then how can you not count them as losses? If you don't win you lose in the playoffs."

Spector was full cringe in that interview haha. Loved that Pinder went right back at him.

Yah, it was great when Pinder was pointing out Smith has lost like his last 10 starts in the playoffs, and is sub .900. Spector really didn't have anything to say to that.
I mean, I get it. He's still a guest on the show, so you don't rail against his opinions. But it was definitely nice to see Pinder challenge Spector's opinions. They're so easy to poke holes into.

True. The game was actually fun until they stepped in with their tweet machines.

And Spector's lame, passive aggressive retort: (paraphrasing) "Well sure you can use stats, but if you actually LOOK FURTHER you'll see...", like, no, the stats back up exactly how he's played there bud. Put down the Kool Aid and accept you just got Pinder'd.

Spector is complete hack, who is closer to comic relief.

He has always been against advanced stats. It’s nice because he perpetuates the Oiler management’s culture of cluelessness towards utilizing information that warns them against bad decisions.

Think about how absolutely INSANE it is that Edmonton has McDavid and Draisatl and still hasn’t decided to go get a proper goalie. Like the position isn’t needed or something. It’s totally bizarre.

If they got a proper goalie, that would be one less overpriced contract for a one-dimensional offensive player. Ya gotta have your priorities straight.

Great laugh by the morning show on how boring the series is. Just completely mocking how we all waited for this all season.

The Dallas Stars are the NHL's version of watching paint dry. I would think most Flames fans would have realized that this was probably not going to be one of the more exciting first round series. I imagine the TV ratings for this series are going to be less than half of what the Leafs and Oilers series bring as nobody out east is going to stay up to watch this type of hockey and I can't blame them as Dallas is just not an exciting team to watch.
