You think the media harping hard on the refs and then the refs calling a lot of penalties isn’t linked?
Anecdotally I don’t know a single person who watches hockey playoffs if their team isn’t in it. But every basketball or nfl fan I know watches basically all the rounds.

Anecdotally, I don't know a single oilers fan that has a clue what real hockey is.

You’re on a small island if you think that people will agree that “tough” players should win the cup and not skilled players. Your island consists of hockey fans over 50 years old and fans of teams who built heavy teams who can mug their way to victory.
Just want to say: I don’t think the flames fall into what I described. They are a great skilled and heavy team. That’s a great way to build a team. I won’t say it but I am the word that starts with J.

Congrats, Oilers. You managed to dive and PP your way to a win. Enjoy your time in LA, losers. You'll be down 3-1 in the series by the time you come back to Dumpsterville.

You said veiwership dies out when talent is eliminated...talent has won back to back seasons.
Special teams dive fests won't attract more viewers...besides the Oilers don't have as much talent as you seem to think they do...it's pretty thin outside a couple guys.

It's apples and oranges...more people watch the Superbowl for the half time show and commercials than the game

Let's see some data here. Please compare TV ratings for championship series with and without teams diving to draw unearned penalties in each of the four major North American sports.
Or else admit that you are full of BS.
