Singh’s commentary is such a joke. Everything the Oilers do is just the greatest thing ever!!! Kings get a scoring chance, low monotone voice!!

Fact is, playoff hockey WAS the best post season in all of sport. Why? Because the NHL let the teams decide the outcome. It was ####ing tough hockey that certainly pushed the rules to the max. It forced GM's to actually BUILD a team that was well rounded and could play in both ends. Hard work paid off.

Now? Have you watched the games? The life has been sucked out of it. And if you support that, I question both your knowledge and passion of the game.

You can claim it’s great all you want but it doesn’t attract viewers. Which is all that matters.

You think the media harping hard on the refs and then the refs calling a lot of penalties isn’t linked?

Anecdotally I don’t know a single person who watches hockey playoffs if their team isn’t in it. But every basketball or nfl fan I know watches basically all the rounds.
Lol Tampa has plenty of talent guy...more than the Oilers

The Kings broadcast is roasting Smith pretty good for the dive. It's embarrassing for the league. If I was a new fan just tuning in, I don't think I would keep watching that trash.

Maybe the emphasis should be placed on education and teaching others about the game and less on a skills competition. I mean why play if it comes down to faking infractions to gain an advantage? What's the point. It doesn't take hard work or really much hockey knowledge.

I mean the irony is that in the long run, the NHL will actually lose viewers and the support of what amounts to the foundation of NHL fans.

Tampa doesn't have McDavid or Draisaitl. Therefore it has no talent at all. It is known.

So McDavid can just drive players into his net now and it’s not a penalty?

You can't be serious. You can't honestly think this version of playoff hockey is good. As I said, that says more about you and really, your future contributions to this board.

New fan from where? The major sports in North America all promote it so no new fan is going to be bothered.

I agree though that was egregious and probably needs a fine.

Waiting for Singh to start dropping nicknames for Oilers players now. Not very professional. Who needs Jack Michaels??
