He's under contract for another season at $2.2M.

I know theres a lot of 'Doom and Gloom' surrounding the Oilers, but a large part of that is because they're paying for Lucic, Neal and Sekera, they've still got years of Kassian at $3.2M and...Warren 'Who?' Foegele at $2.75...

And the Nurse @ $9.25 contract.

So, realistically I would assert that the 'Doom and Gloom' is well warranted.

As I iterated prior, I am astonished that this collection of sadsack losers made the playoffs. But they're not getting any better from here.

Don't forget that Nuge contract. That one is going to look worse and worse every year.

They are probably at their peak right now with this group. They won't find another budget producer like Kane after this season and their salaries all go up.

He isn't even that good in the regular season but at least gets points on the PP playing with McDavid. In the playoffs he's a non-factor, I barely notice the guy.

Let me guess…the medical exemption was granted by a doctor who just happens to be an Oilers season ticket holder. Cause thats just the way they roll in Edmitten.

Watching an Oilers game is starting to look like watching a soccer game.

That Smith dive was so obvious their own cheerleading announcers were laughing.

Thought L.A. could at least make game 2 respectable.

Oilers didn't have much going on before the Smith dive. I'd say his teammates owe him a steak dinner for that one. The resulting PP completely changed the momentum and the Kings kinda fell apart and got away from their game. I expect they'll be a lot better in game 3.

Wait, do playoff games only have two periods now?

Don't think they're coming back in this one. But with Smith, you never know. Prove me wrong, Kings!

Exactly!

Even if the Kings lose this game, they don't have to wait until game 3 to start playing better.

Mike Smith giveth, and Mike Smith taketh away.

All I know is I wouldn't want my team to live and die by such a player.
