Getzlaf gets an assist in his final game with just over 2 mins to go. Nice video of him arriving to the game and all the charities and families he helped, welcoming him.

I was harping on L.A. for falling back the past few weeks, which they have. When I went validate it by looking at the standings at different points during the season, I was a little surprised to see that Nashville has in fact a slightly poorer record than L.A. during the last 25 games going 14-10-1. It has me feeling a little bit more optimistic if they are the match-up we get. Vancouver and Dallas has better records than the Preds in the last stretch here.

Saros had never played more than 35 games in a year before this season, hes played in 66 now, and likely has to play at least 2 of the final 3.
Rittich tried to hold the fort tonight, but right now the Blues and Wild are playing out of their minds.

Also, would like to see Vegas win tonight and stay in the WC race just to keep the heat on both Nashville and Dallas and force them both to stay honest and expend that extra energy in the next few games.

The only thing that worries me about the Preds is getting Saros'd who is like 6-1 in his career against the Flames.

Anaheim isn't done their schedule?
You mean last home game?

He’s not playing in the final two road games. He wanted to end his career at home.

I don't think Getzlaf is playing the last two road games.

I suspect they are all very motivated to avoid the Avs in round one.
It's always good to be the team they want to face, feels like that rarely works out.

Dallas-Vegas game setting up to be one that decides Vegas' season.
Vegas wins in regulation and they would have identical records. But Dallas has two easy ones to wrap up (Anaheim, Arizona), while Vegas has one (Chicago, St. Louis).
I think Dallas just scrapes their way in when all is said and done. Even if Vegas beats the Stars, I think Dallas still have enough of a leg up with their schedule to squeak ahead.

Correct, he is not. Last game for him was the last home game in ANA

Dallas has all games at home and no Getzlaf in the Anaheim one...they would really have to blow it now

Sharks get one towards the end of the second period. Golden Knights have a 3-2 lead now

Prior to last game they were aggressively self sabotaging, so who knows.

Colorado on quite a skid by their standards. Lost to Seattle, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. It looks like the Avs passed right though the West at a perfect time. Plus a loss to the Caps before the skid, which isn't a crazy upset, but still one that they were obvious favourites to win. Jersey was the only scrub team that didn't beat them during that time frame.
The Oilers probably think their victory against the Avs means way more than it should.

The NBCSN link that I use for the daily OOTS is showing three BJ players (Blankenberg, Elvis, and Voracek).

Would be really funny for the oilers to lose home ice advantage in their last few games. Would be a big help for LA to be able to line match vs McDavid and Draisaitl. Especially for a team like LA because they have two elite shutdown centremen in Kopitar and Danault. Being able to have the home ice advantage to match those two centres against McDavid/Draisaitl could be the difference in the series.
