Stone is not starting over Kylington. No chance. They aren’t even close to the same caliber player.
They are definitely very different players, I don't really know how to measure caliber.
I like Kylington a lot. And being a right hand shot, it's probably not that likely Stone draws in over him. But no way do I see Gudbranson sitting either.
Tonight was a great example of the PK generating momentum for a struggling team. I actually had a good feeling when Mackey was penalized early in the third that it might be the kickstart that they needed if they could get a kill. They did much better than that.
Lindholm and Backlund immediately got possession and generated a scoring chance, then Coleman and Lewis were able to draw a penalty with more defensive pressure. Then Johnny got tripped at the start of the 4-4, and they didn’t look back after getting the 3-2 goal.
Also fun to see Guy and Jane Gaudreau on the jumbotron after Johnny got his 100th. I didn’t want to jinx it but Johnny always seems to get on the scoresheet when family is in town (usually it’s a goal but I’m sure Johnny was happy to get the assist to get to 100).
Fun night at the Dome tonight (well, the last 20 minutes).

Yikes, that was an ugly one.
2 points is 2 points, and it's great to see the team fight back and gut one out, but I really hope they get this shaky play out of their system.
Word is team has been a bit sick? Everybody looks a bit off. That said they have 5 wins a row. Whole team will be healthy come round one.

- I’m not surprised to see Sutter shorten the bench in the third. Lucic was struggling tonight (even more so than the rest of the team), especially in the defensive zone.
- I actually thought Markstrom wasn’t as sharp today; he wasn’t bad overall but the 3-1 goal was a tough one to let in, and there were a couple of posts that beat him as well. Nice to see Vladar come through with the W.
- Andersson/Hanifin are so good right now. They were getting hyped up during pregame but they are just so solid back there. Nice to see Hanifin get rewarded with the GWG as well. Meanwhile, the Mackey-Stone pairing was a bit of an adventure — I assume the decision to swap Zadorov with Mackey was because Sutter wasn’t happy with how Mackey and/or Stone were performing?

I have been giving Tkachuk respect since 2016. If I followed junior hockey I would have given him respect in 2015. Why would I have waited until now to do that?

Amazing Q+A response in the Sutter post-game interview. Asked “how difficult is it in this day and age to get 100 points?”.
He immediately starts talking about getting 100 points in the standings, now that the Flames are at 99. The reporter clarifies that she was asking about players scoring 100 points, and he redirects. But obviously, the man only has the team success in the forefront of his mind. What a gem.

I noticed that Johnny's first game highlights are on Youtube. He's facing Markstrom! We lost 5-1 but he showed he could play in this league as the commentators are talking about how is outplaying guys way bigger than him:
Well done and good job to this guy who is responsible for producing this result
