All your numbers are granted. Please bear in mind that ‘pretty good’ is a relative term. Each of the #1 seeds has a better chance this year than the average #1 seed over the years of not losing in an upset.

And while I would easily expect 3 upsets in the first 8 series, not all those series will involve a first-place team.

With the standings being so close the "lower seed" often is often only a couple points behind over 82 games. Also with loser points you even have higher seeds with less wins than lower seeds.

Flames had a debacle of a season yet won more regular season games than the Stanley Cup runners up.

I really hope the Flames don't run into Vegas round one.

I'm not overly concerned about that. Dallas is 1 point back with 4 games at hand, meanwhile the Blues have a 3 point lead also with 4 games at had. If Vegas makes it into the playoffs they're likely going to do it by overtaking the Oilers for 3rd in the Pacific. Even then they're a point back and Edmonton has 2 games at hand.

I think the only way Calgary faces them in round 1 is if they have an epic collapse and the Kings win the division AND Vegas overcomes the odds and overtakes the Oilers.

I just think Vegas in round 1 is an extremely unlikely scenario.

I think vegas will be the odd team out.

I think the oilers will struggle down the stretch and slip out of the playoffs. Vegas will take their spot at 3rd in the pacific.

Nashville isn't an ideal first round match up, but there are worse.

I'd argue that Dallas stacks up better against the Flames because they can play the tough grinding game too. Lighter on talent but they're the closest to the Flames blueprint in the west.

Nashville's goaltending scares me a little, but the Flames have broken through every challenge they've been faced with, and lit up goalies that have previously stoned them this season.

I hate it when they put Oilers vs Flames first game of the season, it's a good rivalry let the teams play a couple games so it's a better overall game.

Thank you!

I am starting to look forward to all the great playoff songs that come with a long playoff run! Still so many good ones from 2004.

His non-game day interviews seem to be much more in-depth. He's more testy on game days; both pre- and post-game.

Just a plea not to post all of the good No-good stuff in this thread alone.

Post in e=ng if it is good about no-goods!
