COMPLETELY RANDOM QUESTION:
So yesterday I was watching the pre-game skate, and they typically have the same tunes everytime. But I want to know the song name (probably answering my own question), and author, because I can't find it anywhere.
The lyrics in said song goes something like this: "You can't stop us, you can't stop us, you can't stop us. You can put it on repeat!" (probably?) I find the tune catchy, and future thanks for any help.
is there a site somewhere of the flames playlist?

I'm not saying he was right, I'm not saying it wasn't a bad take, I'm not saying he shouldn't have been challenged. He had the guts to post his opinion, and stuck to it amongst the dog pile that ultimately ensued. I admire that.
People should not be admired for saying things that are dumb.

I attended the game but missed the hit? I want to see what a few of my oiler friends are crying about. The best part of the entire BOA for me was receiving a bunch of chirps via text message when the oilers made it 1-0.... I had my way after the game

Hmm..."things that are dumb".
This is a perspective. There are clearly things that are objectively dumb (like the earth is flat, or water is dry)...so those are fine.
There are those which are subjectively dumb (Flames won't score 200 goals, E=NG > "dumb" to a Coiler fan, Trudeau is not a dick). But other than that...a take is a take. Say it all you want...defend it if you want or must...but the admiration comes from sticking to one's guns in the face of it. And for admitting one is wrong when proven so.
Goal differential tells a really interesting story just now.
The four division leaders are all +60 or better. Every other team is under +40.
All four first-place teams have to be pretty heavy favourites to make the conference finals. Of course, there will almost certainly be at least one upset, as usual, but individually their odds are pretty good.
Actually, the odds in hockey are never really "pretty good".
In the first 8 series, there will likely be 3 upsets.
Generally, the favourites are likely to only be about a 60 % chance of winning each series, and those odds start going down the farther a team goes.
So, the chance of each division favourite advancing to the final 4 is about 36%. (60% x 60%) All 4? About 1.68% (36% x 36% x 36% x 36%).
Last year, the record of the higher seeded team in the 4 rounds of the playoff was as follows:
3-5
1-3
0-2
1-0
So, the lower seeded team won 10 of the 15 series.
If you go back to the last pre-pandemic playoff (in 2019), you'll see the exact same result, the lower seeded team won 10 of the 15 series.
That's the randomness of hockey. Generally most sports actually.
I think the best takeaway from this game is the strategy. The 5 on 5 matchups Darryl used against McDavid and Draisaitl was on point. Everyone knows the best way to defend 97 and 29 is to keep them in their own defensive zone where they’re way less comfortable. Give the team full credit for the win, a ratio of 9 five on five goals to 2 is something else and definitely deserves a standing ovation.
I think now, I’m more confident then ever that the Flames would take a playoff series between the 2 teams. The Oilers would likely be outmatched physically and checked into submission the whole series. They wouldn’t get the same ticky tack calls either, so their power play probably wouldn’t be as big a factor in the post season.

LOL, ok, that's not what I was admiring, but whatever.

Flames have outplayed the Oilers in all four games IMO...Flames were also at a disadvantage in 3 of 4
First Game...Flames 8 days off hadn't played a game yet, Oilers 2nd game
Second Game...Flames entire team coming back from a month off with covid...Koskinen stole it plus missed call on the winner
Third Game...Fair enough
Fourth Game...2nd half of B2B

Yup.
The first game scheduling made less than no sense, other than to start the Oilers off on the right foot and the Flames on the wrong one.
Canucks were already in Alberta on opening day. Rather than make the Alberta tour so that the Flames start their season in the first three days of active games, they send them back home and leave the Flames to sit around until Saturday. Because, reasons.
