We had a future organ donor rip past us on Crowchild in thick traffic, weaving around making 80 KM/H traffic look like it was standing still. It is indeed 'that' season again.

Couple asks;
Decent custom exhaust in town? (Likely cat-back)
And exhaust heat tape recommendations?
Also, tires. Where to buy?

Not a boomer, just don't feel everyone needs to hear your bike while you screw around. Something something society crumbling. Why should I have to alter my hearing to avoid someone else? That's not how this works. Bring on the e-bikes already. You guys should all go out and get a new e-bike. That's something I could celebrate.

While online window shopping I came across the electric harley, looks really cool.
I used to live a few miles out of town and 3 miles from a weigh station where bikes and hot rods would congregate and blast for an hour or two every night in the summer. Sounds sure travels on the bald prairie. One year it was crotch rockets practicing wheelies non stop. Fun for one night but hard to sleep though! I never called the cops but saw them out there once in a while, had to chuckle when the cherries came on on either side of the scales and everyone in the middle with no where to go.
Love bikes but hey, I was just trying to be funny.

Then can we bitch about all the e-bikes ripping along pathways within inches of pedestrians, breaking traffic laws and generally being a menace to pedestrians, pathway users AND vehicles?

Couple months ago, I bought a 2019 Bonneville Street Twin. It was seldom used, and in fantastic shape. Previous owner didn't ride it as much as another bike in his possession.
Here it is day of purchase. Previous owner upgrades, were hand warmers, and lower profile mirrors.
Then the mods;
Conti TKC70's
Motone Tail Tidy & Love Handle
Super Corse Luggage Spools
Bedlam Slash Cut
Givi Crash Bars
British Customs Slammer Seat
And today;

Grew up riding and racing dirtbikes, did the sportbike thing for a while when my dirtbiking buddies were too busy with families to get to the hills... havnt had a bike for a few years and have the itch again. Just moved into a city and feel like a bike would be great for getting around.
Not into Harleys, not feeling the sportbike itch but I miss my XR650R. Shouldn't have sold the big red pig. Want to try a supermoto, big one lunger four stroke. Anyone have any experience with the husky 701sm? It looks like it would be a riot around town.

Yeah, when I was much younger I had a bike that was very loud. I had put custom pipes on it and then fully opened them up without any baffles. I loved the sound of it and it definitely added to the joy of riding it as a young guy, but when I hear people on bikes like that now I think about how annoying and self-centered I must have been back then. Ironically, most of the people I see on really loud bikes now are old guys and while I think it's great that somebody is still having fun and enjoying life on a bike at an older age I also think they make themselves look pretty silly riding around on a bike with open pipes that you can hear from blocks away when they should be mature enough to not put their own cosplay fantasies ahead of other people's experiences.
That said, I do believe there is some added safety in having the loud pipes. It's definitely harder to get lost in a blind spot with them.

I grew up on dirt bikes as well, moved on to various street bikes and now I've come full circle (back to dirt bikes).
I convinced a couple of my buddies to buy dirt bikes too, we just do single track trails and it's pretty awesome (we are in our 40's). Have a 2021 WR250F, my buddy (from my suggestion) bought a 2022 XCF-W 350 and another one has my old XR400. All great bikes, but the XCF is a much better bike stock.

Worm chasers are just too much fun. Single track in the mountains was always my favorite. Unfortunately dirtbikes don't really work for my current situation. I always preferred my two strokes but the XR650R was just a completely different animal.
I have a few friends who had xr400s, great trail bikes basically bomb proof. The newer 250 4s really buzz in comparison and really are that much more modern though.
Sounds like fun! Gotta have riding buddies. I'm not looking to go 200mph these days, but really want to try a supermoto out. Dirtbike geometry with street wheels? Sign me up.

Only the car inside it. The garage itself is pretty average.

Question;
Why do the majority of riders constantly rev their engines while idling?
If your bike requires you to do so, please get a tune-up and/or learn how to ride properly.
If you're doing this, just to show off, please go drive off a cliff.
Thank you.
