The Flames just completely shut down and dominated the Oilers in the third...complete clinic. Fore checked like crazy and kept the shots and goals coming. Strong ending on a back to back game.

I only ask because I saw a comment on the sportsnet FB page that was almost identical to yours and the guy who posted was wearing an Oilers hat in one of this profile pics.

They deserve two weeks off after that back to back effort. I wish I could give it to them.

Flames score 9 even strength goals and Oilers fans blame the ref. lol

They want Backlund suspended too for elbowing poor Connor on that ridiculously bad dive.

My favorite part about that game is that the Flames didn't back off AT ALL in the 3rd. 4 goals up and they were pushing for that 10th goal just as hard as if it were a tie game, they were out for blood. In 20 years of following this team since moving to Calgary I've never seen them play this aggressively so consistently

It's never a bad night.

Coming from someone that's ####ed up - love that woman and take her out.

PVR & the Flames will always be there for you later.

Only period the Oilers were forced to face the Flames 5 on 5. No surprise the Flames took it to them and outclassed them.

Particularly Johnny...he just played with the Oilers and basically did what ever he wanted. He is pure magic when he has the puck.

Can we give Noah Hanifin a little love?

2 Apples and a +5 in his 500th career game!

That's because they hate them.

I'm not sure which defensive effort from the Oilers I like more...

Bouchard with the old George Michael move...

Every Oiler blowing the zone, leaving Tkachuk alone with Smith...

or Nurse and Ceci keeping their distance and making sure Backlund has a clear shot on goal...

They're all just so good.

The thing that pains me the most is that Calgary is genuinely a good team… and we are… well… the Oilers. How they managed to craft such a good team faster than we did without two generational talents is beyond me.

I’d say half the goals are on the D and half on the goalies. Brutal.

They're all just so good.
If you look on the Backs goal, Toffoli and Mang were ready with their sticks loaded to shoot and the D were covering none of the oncoming Flames lol

Missed tonight's game. Wow, what a night to miss.
I never re watch a full game I already known the score to, but this one might call for it.

Well, that was fun! I really wanted them to get 10 at the end.

I don't think Sutter will be very happy with all the penalties, but the Johnny and the top line was buzzing all night. He's gonna get paid and should be in the Hart conversation in earnest.

Can't wait for the Colorado game next!

Absolutely love the team. And I never thought the coach can change players and team before Sutter.
I expected Sutter will be not happy after tge game, but he looks like one if us fan that can't be happy to beat those fakers from the north. And Sutter was so briliant about Johnny, 80's games and black hat tricks.

The funny thing about that quote is that it’s not just the D and the G

Forwards actually matter on the defensive side of the game in the NHL

As long as they are daft enough to not understand that their ‘generational talents’ (their words, not reality) are part of the problem, the hilarity shall ensue

McAvi, Leon, Kane, Nurse: -4

But hey. Ceci was -5 . Probably his fault, right?
