Yeah. I know LeBrun is a reputable insider, but his job is still to generate traffic. Pelletier is low-hanging fruit to throw out there, but I am not worried about the Flames trading him for a rental. I would be shocked if it happens unless it is a much bigger trade.

Well Zadorov should be in the dog house what with all the penalties he has been taking lately. On a one year deal…. Hmmmm

I don't necessarily want to, but for Chychrun at his cap-hit, while moving Monahan's cap space, would be a price I think is worth the loss in what could be Kylington's highest trade value (plus he needs a new contract).

Ya, I thought and feel it may take a 1st (I'd potentially consider the 2024 one) but Kylington this year is comparable to how Chychrun is playing. To be honest, some of the various pieces are for them taking Monahan.
I don't know if I do Monahan, Kylington + 1st...

Of all the players that have been rumoured to be traded this deadline, Chychrun is the guy I would want the most, other than Miller, Hertl, or Scheifele. I just don't bring up his name because I know there's zero chance we aquire him-too expensive, and we don't have the assets.

You likely wouldn’t get him for Kylington and a first, much less dump Monny in the trade.

Yup, especially considering OK is nearly a year older than JC.

Say Monahan went the other way with whatever got the deal done.
I'm spit Ballin here because I really want Zacha as a Flame.
The bonus is Subbans contract goes away at the end of the year so he'd be a pure rental and added depth.

I see little reason why Jersey would want him or Johnny would want to go there. They are building off players in their very early 20s, including their number 1 LW Bratt, who is PPG at age 23, and who needs a contract next year, along with three more good young fwds Hischier, Hughes and Mercer. Though for some reason they signed Hamilton, I don’t think Gaudreau is in their window.
They aren’t going to be good for a few years either. And they aren’t JG’s home team or anything. For all I know he hates them like a guy from here would hate the Oilers (though Philly fans typically hate some other teams more IIRC).

Jankowski on waivers. Oh how I miss Weisbrod and Feaster being so much smarter then everyone else in the room.
At least we didn't draft Juolevi instead of Tkachuk.

Sometimes things don't work out. They saw a big skilled centre who skated very well for his size. If it works out, it's a potential #1 centre which is the hardest position to fill.
And the early returns seemed to suggest that at minimum he would be a middle 6 pivot.
Didn't work out but doesn't mean the approach was wrong.
Their mistake was pumping the tires too much after the draft.

I dont know...Janko was in high-school when they drafted him. They went off board IIRC and they really didn't have to. I'm still upset they didn't pick Vashilevski...he was the best goalie in the draft by a long shot when they had 0 depth in goal. They were pumping his tires as soon as they picked him, it wasn't a risk...it was just a bad move.

Would be great under Sutter.
Fast, responsible and plays a rush style game. Throw him on a line with Dube and they would probably have instant chemistry.
Maybe a line of Dube-Ruzicka-Kapanen
Dube would probably be going the other way though..
