100% intentional. Waits till the game is sealed, a penalty won’t matter, and Lucic doesn’t have a chance to respond.

Not only intentional, it was spineless

...is it not insane that no one asked Darryl about Johnny's knee?

Darryl didn't like Vladar's night, which I agree with. He was just kind of in the net, and didn't do anything notable to help the team win. Got beat clean by a number of shooters.

So yeah, saying he isn't an NHL player isn't correct as he's clearly playing the NHL.

His play is very bad though.
Maybe, this is also a first place team...he will be in the NHL for a few more years at least. Looking at some bottom feeders rosters he certainly will have a career for a while. Likely his last season with the Flames though.

Well you aren't aware of the rules...how exactly do you "cut a guy loose" in the NHL?

On the replay that was posted, all you can see is the back of his helmet. Ignoring who the player is, I think it’s just as likely that he’s looking at the player in the corner with the puck. It’s almost like he feels Gaudreau incoming and tries to lift his leg to avoid a direct blow. I also think if he wanted to take Johnny’s knee out he could/would have skated through with more force.

That said, Wilson is a dirty player so it’s easy to assume it was intentional… no argument against that. I doubt he’d care even if it was an accident.

He’s outwardly hard on Vladar more than any other player.

Tough schedule for the boys. Let’s hope a day off and a mental reset gets them ready for Tampa. That will be a huge challenge. You can’t expect your backup to steal you games. Flames had a couple leads, fought til the end and gave themselves a chance to win. The Caps are a very good team. Not upset about this outcome.

What a friggin nightmare schedule
Of these six games, tonight was probably the least “ important”. Every other game there is a good reason to want to win. Tonight was the meh game.

I'm more worried for Vladar.

We might never find his body.

Trade the guy , are you guys morons ? I guess you're smarter than me . Probably been Flames fans for 8 years . I sit here in Edmonton, hating the Oilers and have to listen to you guys come up with a bunch of stupid excuses every single game . This team is 2 moves away from the cup. My opinion and my opinion only . Dube and Monahan need to go . Not sure who to bring in to replace them, but they need to be gone . I can't wait to see the responses on this . By the way , I've been cheering for the Flames since they were in Atlanta .

Yes. I've become rather accustomed to them winning every game.

Especially in this schedule. I think pretty much every goal was a mental or physical mistake brought on by fatigue. Lucic normally isn’t that dumb with the puck. Monahan and Tanev were towards the end of a tough shift and couldn’t make the muscles work right. The Backlund line was backing in and not attacking. All stuff that happens when you are tired.

especially when you consider the schedule

some people would sit guys after every loss, it doesn't work that way. Its also not a good way to run your organization if you ever want to keep players.

Tired team with a schedule that has clearly caught up to them. Get through the rest of the week in one piece and that’s a victory in itself.

Monahan needs to bring another step to the rink if he’s hoping to keep a roster spot. 9 minutes of ice time tonight and deservedly so.
