I don't do avatars and am not the slightest bit interested in deciding what yours ought to be.

It honestly boggles the mind that you don't think players are held out longer than they otherwise would be for cap reasons. Its happened multiple times already. You trying to tell me Kucherov wouldn't have played a few games at the end of the season if the cap wasn't an issue? Recovery just perfectly lined up exactly for game one of the playoffs? Kane too.

Two cases suspected, neither proven. But you assume the proof, and conclude that every player who is on LTIR from a cap team you dislike is faking his injury and should never have been eligible for LTIR at all. Which is a very different matter from what happened with Kucherov or Kane.
Your position, as far as I can tell, is that neither Martinez nor Stone was ever injured sufficiently to be eligible for LTIR; but they agreed to sit out, and the league agreed to massively break its own rules, and the independent MDs who advise on such things agreed to falsify their records, because for some reason the NHL would rather see Vegas win the Stanley Cup crookedly than any other team win it honestly.
Oh, and the Golden Knights are so determined to do this that they will even sit out Robin Lehner and pin their playoff hopes on career tweener Laurent Brossoit and his .903 save percentage.
It is too thin, sir. It doesn't hold water.
