When you get put on the 4th line and do not take faceoffs in the defensive zone or play against good players, you are sheltered.

4th line? Nah.
Like I said, if he’s on a line with Dube and Ritchie, he’s not going to get tough matchups. Sutter may be sheltering those guys, but he’s not sheltering Monahan.
Fans are having a hard time getting over him as the hated player, they'll warm up eventually.
I just think he acts like a dude bro...some people find that is funny and others don't. Its not just because he was a jerk on the ice, so were a lot of guys.
He is a little too high on himself for my liking, its not like anyone on the panel is spectacular though.

Ruzicka might make Monahan expendable. But at the same time, this team needs depth going into the playoffs. That Islanders team run by Trots is a good team come playoffs and they looked good in Saturday night's game. The Flames are just pure hot right now. Hope they'll continue to get hotter going into the playoffs.

Sutter doesn’t possibly think that Lucic, Ruzicka and Lewis are a 3rd line. I guess you missed the fact that Sutter says a lot of things for various reasons. I suppose he may think he’s got two 3rd lines. I know he thinks highly of Monahan, and he’s not calling him a 4th liner.
