Add in the money with their huge contracts. It happens on every construction site I’m on daily. There is no place where addiction can’t creep in and eventually destroy lives.

Nope.

The first attempt, at speed, was more dangerous, yeah, off the bar. Unfortunate. And a great attempt.

The penalty shot was poor I thought.

Gaudreau has crazy skill. Is he a league leader in penalty shots/shootout situations? Not his specialty. Both things can be true.

This might be the hardest Flames to get a read on in a while.

I can't really figure them out, aside from shooting the puck a lot.

They look inept, then they'll blow out 2-3 good teams in a row. It's strange. There isn't a lot in between.

I keep seeing this acronym … what does it stand for?

We haven’t had a Lucic five holer in a while. It’s about time.

I say Backlund keeps his streak going and gets the winner.

Just maybe the opposing team deserves some credit for staying in the game, and it isn't just a matter of the Flames forgetting how to hockey.
Canucks don't get enough credit for gumming things up. They are full defense and trying to get a counter for a scoring chance. They are collapsing and taking away shooting lanes and and then break downs hS Demko bailing them out. Flames just need to keep playing their game. It will come.

Hasn't it been this way for a relatively long time though? Nights where they look like world beaters, nights where they look like they have their skates on the wrong feet? We all see it, we all see the dominant "good Flames". And then they play like they are playing tonight, and it's like... what the hell?

It kind of makes sense with all the time-passing that goes on.

Was crazy to hear White talk about how he actually thought alcohol and hangovers made him a better hockey player / were what kept him playing at an NHL level.

You wonder if other guys have been pulled into a similar trap.

The drinking culture appears to be rampant.

Flames are absolutely dominating this game...not sure how anyone can say otherwise.

14-2 scoring chances

Poor finish/good goaltending sure but to suggest they aren't playing well is crazy

Yup it's certainly a strategy that's working. Force off angle shots and clear rebounds becuase they are all so close to the net. Need to keep firing and wait for a bounce or a rebound. Already hit a post.

If the Canucks get down they have to open it up a bit.

The ceiling is definitely higher with this team and the floor is higher in terms of energy/output.

But yes there are still a lot of peaks and valleys.

True but means nothing. Need to win the 3rd.

4 games in 6 nights puts some limitations on energy/ output.

Dube and Mangipane need to check in. With Myers gone there isn't huge defenseman to worry about.
