Usually I’m absolutely ####ing furious when the flames lose to the grease (especially when the wonder twins do all the scoring) but tonight I can’t care. There was no way the powers that be were letting the Flames win this game.

Just a tragic performance by the guys in stripes. And Markstrom also got out-matched by Koskinen. The flames aren’t quite good enough to beat teams when they lose the goalie battle as bad as they did tonight. Not many teams are.

Like honestly, the 4th line looked functional tonight. That’s an indictment on edmonton because those 3 guys are barely AHLers.

He is against American/eastern conference teams

In big Canadian matchups he starts losing the puck suddenly.

Refs scored that goal.
At the end of the day, Tanev and Markstrom can't get undressed like that.

Booooooooooooooooo.

Missed opportunity overall. Hard to blame Markstrom if he’s getting screened IMO but sure could have used a save there late.

Didn’t like the call on Lindholm that led to the 2-2 goal, need to kill that off though.

Tippett keeps his job for another week I guess. Sorry Gully.

The Oilers or the Flames?

Beware the team that cannot win games against their own division. I think the Flames have on,y two wins against their own division this season. Not going anywhere unless you win in your own division.

Koskinen vs Markstrom actually did end up being the difference tonight. Just not the way 99.9% of the hockey world would’ve predicted. Bad game by Markstrom, excellent game for Koskinen.

Doesn’t help either that the Flames nudge McDavid and he gets a call while Puljujarvi plows over Kylington and we get nothing. What a complete joke.

Even wprse is Koski out played Marky and that is not acceptable. I feared this type of result and it's what we got.

No they didn't, they dominated the entire game

Hrudey’s condescension makes me want to puke. This whole panel is bile inducing.

One time in my life I want to cheer for a team so historically bad where we can only score on the pp and the NHL says "hey give them pp's" and the refs go...hey sure!

Epic garbage from the refs as usual in a battle of Alberta, but the good thing is the pause on replacing Leako is on. Turns out it was just a bad run and he’s clearly the #1 they’ve been needing all along. Time to extend him to a $6 X 6 stat.

I will add that the Coleman - Backlund - Mangiapane line looked like they had absolutely zero chemistry. Monahan played very well, and I think that it would help the entire middle six to swap the two centres.

Aw, look at all the lurkers coming for their dopamine servings to try to stave off their depression for one night.

Long live Tippett!

I thought Zadorov and Monahan had really good games. Johnny too.

Mangiapane and Markstrom, not so much

It's not that he can't elevate his games, he gets worse the tougher the games get.

Dominating the game and blowing a 2-0 lead and then blowing it again by giving up a weak ass goal where your dman gets walked is pretty much the definition of blowing it.

Draisaitl probably doesn't get that lane on the winning goal without that interference.

The officials should have been named one of the three stars.

Absolutely joke.

And I can't stand the hockey broadcasting crews, they literally ruin the game.
