I am with you.
1st, Wolf, Zary, Kylington are tough to give up.
I won’t lie I don’t watch the Coyotes but from what I can see he really only had one year where he would warrant that type of return and it was in the 56 game season where he played against 7 other teams.
Looks like pure trash this year (again I don’t watch the games just looking at 7pts and -29 in 26 games)

Sutter this past two weeks: we need depth and more scoring.
Tree hearing this: Teams aren't just giving things away, how about a used up Dustin Brown? We can pull Pat Maroon and Joey Juneau out of retirement.

Well, that's a bad example. Pat Maroon has won three Stanley Cups back to back to back.

Don't know if this is the right forum but didn't want to start a new string.
Is anybody else getting really tired of "hockey insiders" calling just about anyone with 20 goals a "special" player. Love Loubaredous but even he uses "special" over and over again. CBC guys, CTV guys, Fan 960 guests everyone's top players are "special" now.
When I was in grade school back in the 60s "special" meant something different!

Seems like an odd thing to get upset about.

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Mangiapane - Hertl - Kane
Coleman - Backlund - Pitlick
Lucic - Dube - Lewis
Ritchie
Giordano - Klingberg
Hanifin - Andersson
Kylington - Tanev
Markstrom
Vladar
…this seems reasonable, no?…no?

I simply assumed Comix meant Patrick Kane and not Evander... but obviously his response invalidates that. However, I'll still imagine P. Kane instead, thank you very much.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Thats my absolute favorite thing about fantasy GM/trades. People move heaven & earth to get 3 or 4 new faces, top scorers, on the Flames but always leave guys like Pitlick in the lineup.

You just named about the only two deals of that kind in the last six years. So yeah, almost never happens.

Wonder how people would feel about the Flames moving a 2nd rd pick for Gio. Maybe Seattle retains?
Hanifin-Anderson
Gio/Kylington-Tanev
Gio/Kylington-Gudbranson
Zadorov
Could see Gio siging one year deals from here on out. Not particularly advocating for it but I don't think it is too far out of line to think the Flames would have interest in bringing him back.

I say play the young guys on D. Defense isn’t our issue. Depth scoring is.
If we were the cup favourite maybe as a rental? But we’re not.

True, but looking at how this organization has previously gone about things and Sutter's preference for veterans I wouldn't be surprised to see them add some veteran D depth. At least it wouldn't be surprising if they do acquire Gio or another depth D piece.
