Or when Brodie had his best year with Gio despite Giordano being slightly off in 2015-16 and the next year Gulutzan stapled Wideman to him to give us a top 4.

Or the next year when everyone could tell Brodie-Hamonic were not working but Gulutzan refused to bring back Gio-Brodie or even Brodie-Stone

Or like that time Bennett was thriving centering Gaudreau and Frolik so Hartley put him with Granlund and Hudler to give us a third line.

Don't touch a good thing. Just leave it the #### alone.
How dare you invoke the names of players who no longer play here.

It's fair.

Very much like breaking up Gio-Brodie to get two pairings going.

Pretty sure Hamrlik left as a UFA but yeah replacing him with Cory Sarich and Adrian Aucoin was not a strong move.

As an aside Gaudreau-Frolik-Bennett played like 32 minutes together in their entire tenure in Calgary, so not sure that was ever really a thriving line.

I don’t think that really matters to him.

Any opportunity to mention Sam Bennett’s name is what’s important.

Yet throw a stone and you'll hit someone who praised Stone for his bomb from the point (which was a self clear as often as it hit the net).

True enough.

Al MacInnis had a bomb from the point, and it was actually valuable because he worked for years to make it accurate. Even then, it was most effective when Joe Nieuwendyk was there to stand beside the net (taking crosschecks and slashes every second) and tip those slapshots in. Stone's slapper isn't accurate and he doesn't have a Nieuwendyk to help him, so I view it more as a curiosity than a tool. There's a reason Stone was never seen as an offensive defenceman.

I mean the reason why Benzo caught on was because so many people hated it.

The initialsnumber thing is frickin stupid, full stop

But on the topic of Kylington, add him to PP2 in Dubé’s spot. He’s got a better one timer and can distribute better to Mangiapane.

Maybe also then swap Dubé back in for Lucic, who is useless.

I think the better move is to move Andersson to PP2 and put OK on PP1. The way to stymie PP1 when bringing up the puck is for the forechecking forward to let Andersson get past him and prevent the back pass. Andersson just has no where to go at that point as he either doesn't have the speed or the willingness to enter the Ozone with him controlling the puck. Whereas, OK shouldn't have a problem doing so.

PP2 doesn't do the back pass as often and are more willing to do the dump in and Andersson can handle that.

Say what you want about chucky...but his ability to tip pucks is among the best I have ever seen in the game...including Nieuwendyk..
