Krebs’ name has been thrown around since the beginning of this entire soap opera so I assume that’s who Buffalo wanted the entire time. That’s also why I say ‘if’ Vegas wanted Krebs.
I have no idea what the Flames offer was. If anybody does know the exact details I would love to hear it.

Always the Bradsmaid never the Brad.
Treliving needs to go.

Yes thank goodness the Flames stayed the course and didn’t make this trade for a #1 centre. Just keep doing what you’ve been doing my entire life Calgary Flames!

With such an underwhelming return, makes you think if the Eichel injury is worse than it is.
Vegas is Toronto 2.0, they can’t assemble a good enough roster with so much cap attached to few players. That’s the only silver lining here.
Time to press forward. I’ll be mad about this today, but as long as the Flames continue to play superb hockey I think we will be okay.

Ahhh the runner up position. GMBT’s special.
The biggest thing in all this is I hope it doesn’t distract the team especially Tkachuk. Hopefully they can continue dominating games and put this behind them.
Such a hollow feeling though… first Stone that prized RH RW that we always wanted for Gaudreau… and now that true blue #1 elite Center we haven’t had for decades… both lost to the Golden Knights who were gifted a team and didn’t have to give anything up in the Seattle expansion. They are behind only Edmonton for teams I hate in our division.

What’s clear here is there are a lot of teams with health concerns over Eichel. It’s a calculated risk. I think LV is banking on him coming back at 90% based on the return. And I think it’s fair he comes at a discount. If this is all they got Adams should be commended for holding out. Tough that the Flames couldn’t beat it with something slightly better. I was fearing the price would be first line player, high prospect and two firsts. That would effectively cripple our ability to do deals in the future. In this case it came in as two higher prospects and a first (protected). Unprotected and throw Dube and how does Buffalo say no to it? Our future wouldn’t be screwed and we’d have a potential star. Tough loss.

At least we can all say he is the hardest working GM in the league.
For me, it's frustrating this didn't happen. But I could have gotten over it much faster if this didn't happen every fricken time.

Tampa got Point in the 3rd round and Kucherov in the 2nd.
Flames have been really good at drafting lately. They drafted last years Norris winner in the 3rd round. Gaudreau in the 4th and Mangiapane in the 6th.
There are other ways to get a top line center and I think Flames can draft and develop one.

First Line Centre

People need to calm down. We may have offered Tkachuk and Buffalo didn’t want him because of his qualifying offer, we may have offered Monahan and either Buffalo didn’t want him or he wouldn’t waive his no trade clause, at the end we may have offered Mangiapane but they like Alex Tuch better (I can’t argue with that) and they may have come back at us asking for Lindholm.
You have to have a willing dance partner. So the question is would you have done Lindholm, Coronato, 1st and 3rd…… I would not have.

That is a terrible return for Eichel
We had months and couldn’t top that?

They knew he had the neck issue, and they were good with it. It wasn’t a shock. They were in up to this point. And could’ve gotten it done.
And didn’t.
Go #### yourselves.

What on Earth are you prattling on about?
You think Buffalo valued Pelletier, Zary, or Corato over Krebs? Did Kevin Adams tell you this? He called you?
Tuch has way more value than Monahan and the Flames weren't going to give up Tkachuk, to say nothing as to whether or not Buffalo would want him and his pending contract situation. He is from the area and is under team control. Would you rather the Flames give up Mangiappane? Would Buffalo want that?
wake up. Your criticism don't even make sense.

Bradley will go all in for Travis Anti-vaxx Hamonic with GG as coach, but not for Jack Eichel with Darryl Sutter as coach. Wizardly.
