The Flames would be dealing Tkachuk, Dube, Poirier, and a 1st for Eichel. Not a whole lot different than what has been proposed.
Tkachuk doesnt want to sign an extension with them so Buffalo flips him to St. Lou for Tarasenko and a 1st.
Calgary creates cap room to add Eichel if/when he gets cleared to play, Buffalo gets back enough salary to reach the cap floor and St. Lou gets a player that apparently wants to be there and gets rid of a player who has wanted out for months and clears cap room to extend the new shiny toy.
Everyone gets what they want....win/win/win!!

I am not a huge tkachuk fan, but to me if you trade him today, and then have to wait until feb/march for Eichel to be in the line up, after neck surgery - yikes……
