Well, I guess we’ve stayed quiet long enough. POW Pizza represents the exact same values that @woppizza did. The choice is yours to decide if you want to support.

I really don't understand how a business thinks it is smart to cater to 10% of the population. Why not cater to the 90%?

Celebrated Square Root Day

There's a lot of dumb restaurant owners doing this. Right now it's working as they have a dedicated few dozen people just loving the spotlight of going there and supporting the cause.
What these dumbass restaurant owners are going to find as time goes on is that these few dozen supporters are going to go back to being once a month/2 month customers when the "OMG we're taking a stand and supporting this brave owner" spotlight dies down, and then they're going to be hurting big time when your previous 90% of customers refuse to come back or come back reluctantly and sparsely.
This is all new and hedging your bet on these clowns making a point by supporting you is a bad bet, long term.

Well this is a good opportunity for someone to start a Detroit style pizza place because I will certainly become a patron.

Connie and John's Pizza have Detroit style. I haven't tried it yet although it does look really good.

I don't get it, it's my kids favourite. If 8 and 10 year old boys don't know good food, who does?

IMO the Little Caesars deep dish pizza is actually decent for the price. You aren't getting WOW quality but you aren't paying for it. My kids like the hot and ready's so sometimes I will get a deep dish and it's better than your average fast food pizza.

On a serious note, i always thought Detroit style was similar to Greek style like Sophies or Spiros.

Call it a guilty pleasure but the Pretzel Crust pizza from L.C. where they use plastic nacho cheese sauce instead of pizza sauce is amazing. Hook a fluid I.V. up before tho, she's mighty salty.

Detroit style, as far as I know, is the square pizza on the very thick doughy crust.
Greek style doesn't have as thick of a crust and is typically round.
Both are cooked in a pan though, but different shapes of pan.
