Jersey was going through a rebuild? He's on the Flames 3rd line...

I owe Erik Gudbranson a huge apology. Didn't like the signing, didn't think he'd make this team better. Boy was I wrong. More than happy to eat crow here and I hope it continues.
Just so happy that Kylington is getting a real shot and that he's running away with it. His skillset has always been intriguing and it's fantastic to see him play like that. Again, I hope it continues!
Markstrom has been unreal these past few games. Insane road trip, hats off to the whole team.

Sutter is shaping OK’s game that way, while continuing to play him. I love it.

I have to admit, I don’t post on CP often but this PGT caught my eye and I felt I should say something. Big Flames fan of course, but I prefer to read posts and comments. Most posters are smarter than me when it comes to hockey and Calgary, I just like to watch hockey and enjoy crispy plays. All this is leading to the previous posts from the last few pages. Man, that’s some toxic stuff, the posters involved, on both sides, sound ridiculous. Re-read your posts and tell me you don’t sound ridiculous. It was difficult reading through that and a nice reminder to myself why I don’t post on here, I sure would love to discuss but what’s the point of being ridiculed to such a severe degree over a hockey opinion? Who cares? I say take a deep breath, realize we’re all here trying to enjoy the same cause! It’s hockey and we’re all Flames fans and it’s not often our team gets off to such a nice start! When it comes to hockey, no one’s ever 100% correct, so let’s just enjoy these wins that we have won so far. GO FLAMES! .

The more I think about it, the more I like this tactic.
If he keeps boasting about him, the odds are high that he’ll get slagged in the media more when he inevitably makes mistakes.
But at the rate Kylingtonsoftly is going, he’ll get at least one “thought he was our best defenceman tonight” this season.

Have to say the last 3 pages or so of this PGT for a game that finished off a 5 game road trip sweep was beyond bizarre. Badgering a poster about how he was ‘wrong’ about Kylington and then actively going through his post history to rub his face in it is beyond petty. Then to turn around and ‘give him’ the fact that he was one of the few positive outlookers on the upcoming season but was still wrong on Kylington… like who friggen cares?! Enjoy the win! We are all flames fans at the end of the day and this is a winning PGT so I don’t get the angle. And honestly Kylington cleared waivers because pretty much every team has a player like Kylington on their roster that is on the cusp but requires waiver activity. If it was such an obvious claim than why didn’t the Flames grab XYZ players we’ve all wanted them to grab when we see a Kylington type player hit the waiver wire from another team?? It’s not so cut and dry, there are lots to things to consider when managing 50 contracts and two pro rosters.
Like I said just reading through that whole exchange came across as bizarre and was looking forward to more excitement from the win instead of bickering over who was right about stuff.

Perfect PK, especially the 5 on 3, and perfect goaltending by Markstrom with the 45 save SHUTOUT. It was also perfect coaching by Sutter. Woohoo.

What a win! I don't EVER want to witness a Flames GM going after a bargain bin coach as long as I live. They should immediately be reprimanded if they even attempt to do so. Coaching MATTERS as proven once again on the last game of a heavy road trip.
Absolutely love how well Gaudreau fits into Sutter's system. Absolute perfect fit. Maybe his most beautiful snipe in a Flames jersey with his goal in the 1st. Shades of his Boston College days. With each passing game that Johnny plays at a high level, the urgency for hi to re-sign increases. Please BT, make it happen sooner than later.
Obviously Markstrom the story of the game. Absolutely clutch from beginning to end. The paddle save in the 1st. 2 on 1 against Guentzel. The 4 min PP. Dude earned his paycheck and looks like he's just getting warmed up. Still early in the season, but wow. What a bounce back thus far. 1.52 GAA and a .952 s%. The Flames looked tired at some points, but Markstrom allowed them to bend but not break until they were able to put it away.
Solid game by Stone. Absolutely no reason to see Zadarov in the lineup with Stone able to fit in like that if someone else is out. Good game by him once again.
Nothing but praise for this team after this road trip. Leaped over the Oilers into 1st place in the division. 1st in the conference. 3rd overall.
Sutter is KING!!!

You were (and often are but okay) literally WRONG. On the Kylington file- no. You need to button it up. I actually don’t think I’ve read anything more ridiculous than the summer and fall of your posting about Kylington and now you try and worm around on it.
You were wrong. Then. And in between. Own it. Many of us said what we saw and knew Kylington to be. And we were shouted down by the likes of you. And timbit and many others.
Maybe next time- listen up- many don’t know as little as you think they do on here.

I LOVED that show when it originally came out (edit: guess even my first watching wasn’t original! It’s from 1971…) then in last couple years of high school they replayed it and I got to love it again…

I'm the minority here, but Ritchie is a good bottom liner. He's actually a bit quick, hustles more than some others and has decent hands.
