He went to the finals in Calgary. Then he went to the finals in LA a couple times a bunch of years later. He can adapt to the times with the same style game. He will be in the hall of fame.

Oiler fan: "Knowing Sutter, he will run Markstrom into the ground..right into an injury"
This coming from the team that plays Nurse 30+ every game and Connor/Drai getting 25+ lol
I guess they didn't see Vladar play against Washington and New Jersey?

Yeah it's because they don't watch any other hockey besides Oiler games. If the team doesn't have a game they put in their VHS of the 80's dynasty games.

NO. NO. You do NOT get this. No. Holy ####. Even to have the balls for you to come out now and post that is egregious. Jesus Christ. You should write a textbook on backtracking. Have you literally zero humility? Wow.
You were (and often are but okay) literally WRONG. On the Kylington file- no. You need to button it up. I actually don’t think I’ve read anything more ridiculous than the summer and fall of your posting about Kylington and now you try and worm around on it.
You were wrong. Then. And in between. Own it. Many of us said what we saw and knew Kylington to be. And we were shouted down by the likes of you. And timbit and many others.
Maybe next time- listen up- many don’t know as little as you think they do on here.

Flames win! Pens lose! 4-0 final
It’s so funny to hear oiler fans make excuses for why the flames win… “Markstrom bailed them out”… “if they didn’t have good goaltending they would have lost.”
Are flames fans supposed to apologize for their team prioritizing goaltending rather than just hoping a 40 year old can keep it together even though he never has?
Even worse is that they are talking about how bad another team would be if they didn’t have a certain player. Are you kidding me? What would the oilers be without McDavid? Oh that’s right… we’ve seen that. They are without a doubt the worst team in professional sports… that’s what they are.
I have respect for teams like the penguins that always seem to rally into being a solid team even when Crosby and/or Malkin are injured. There is absolutely none of that with the oilers. No matter what they do every offseason… the plan once games start going is the same - McDavid has to put up 3 points or we’ll lose this game. And that’s exactly what has to happen for them to have a hope of winning any game.

It's so funny hearing other teams get upset when Lucic scores. Like they hit rock bottom 😂

Thanks Gaskal. It is so weird hearing other fans talking about all of the talent of the flames. Apparently, when you hustle and play hard and fast it brings the talent to the surface. Who knew? Darryl. Darryl knew.

Not since the six? seven? straight “one of the nine” road trip back in 08?

Lol I don't know what Lucic did to have such a bad rap that him doing well against you = rock bottom.
Underperforming on one of the most inept teams for two seasons where you're playing with largely scrubs that belong in the ECHL shouldn't erase the good career he's had otherwise.
Dude has been useful and even impressive at times for Calgary and was one of the top playoff performers in the bubble.
Edmonton sucks good players dry, and there's a recovery time even if you manage to get out of there with your career intact.

Another game where almost everyone registered a shot on goal. Only 2 skaters didn't, and they were defensemen. Every forward had at least one shot and again, Coleman led the team with 6.

Sutter hockey at its best. Know your role and shut your mouth.
Fantastic.
And for those who crap on Gaudreau for trying to make a deft play at the line, and sometimes failing, that goal is why.
That was an absolute top tier skill move to start skating while reaching back to tip the puck over the defensemans stick to get in the clear. And then he still had to outpace the two defenders for 100 feet after that, to get that shot away, which also was top class.
No one else on the Flames roster could pull that off the way JG did.
It's a risk vs reward at the and I'm fine with trusting JG to pull moves like that and sometimes failing, if it means creating a quality chance off of a nothing play. He should be given that license.
