He will absolutely go down as one of the most underrated Flames of all time. And very much of that is on his extremely quiet and under the radar style of play.
Low possession so he gets less eyeball time than most top six centers but does the little things consistently right without really being noticed for it.

The pens must be the best place to land as a prospect . Not much competition, Team is always lookong for cheap players, get to play with 2 of the best in the business.

When all is said and done he will have carved a very decent NHL career. Probably a shoe in for 1000 games and potentially flirt with 400 goals.

Such a subjective stat. This really changes nothing and is obviously a flawed stat.

He played for the Canucks, so thats a box checked. But he did not play for the Coyotes or Kings, so, probably not a fit in Calgary.

I believe he will sign with the Flames until the ink is dry somewhere else
Tre could sending him up there for intel gathering. Not that there is much mystery. What’s Stone going to report? Nurse is overpaid? Keith is old?
Could be a Versteeg 2.0, just for fun
Could be a negotiating tactic. Maybe Stone was feeling good about himself after last year, and wants something like 950K, so Tre is sending him up there to see how much worse it could be
