How's that?

He's a perfect example of a d-bag that was allowed to continue being a d-bag because he was a solid player.

You read his tweets and think of a hockey player? I think of a right wing lunatic.

Anyway, not the thread for this discussion.

Agree, but alas every thread turns into the same.

Fleury is no good. A relative was reasonably close to him and his wife at the time, he’s a bit of a P.O.S. Great hockey player is great, a great hockey player who is a great human being gets lifted.

Probably not the time to be using the incident to add to a narrative. Out of respect for the family.

I haven't read his tweets, I just know he's an A-hole

And he played Left wing

and I'm not pushing a narrative, my narrative has always been how good hockey culture is and I'm using this as an example of the other side's argument. It was just my way of saying he's a massive idiot, if that was too much then my apologies.

I wasn't really familiar with Jimmy Hayes but Kevin Hayes is his younger brother.
Sad story.

We shouldn't be giving Pancakes Penner or his ilk anymore attention anyway.

Couple things. First off, really heartbreaking situation and condolences to everyone effected. Sometimes young people just pass away, even the most healthy,. I've been to more than my share of individuals in their 30's who died, as recent as last week.

Second, literally 100% of people die of cardiac arrest, that is just plain heart stops, just a misnomer I saw thrown around in here. Yes other things can lead to cardiac arrest, down the chain of decompensation.

Third, police go to every unexpected death. The only ones they don't attend are in nursing homes or hospitals. Nearly all out of hospital deaths, especially all completely unexpected (ie: young age, suspicious circumstances, etc). There is no reason to look into that further other than normal process.

Life is literally a daily gamble

this is what i was sort of thinking. i mean perhaps this is why he died, but perhaps it was one of a million other things.

but, in some ways i respect guys like him and theo for tweeting under thier names and owning the tweet.

Everyone already knows they're morons, no sense in hiding it. They probably pride themselves in it.

His personal persona is worse although it is starting to show itself publicly more often.

He's a product of where he was raised. He's the poster child for Winkler, Manitoba.

Guess you have a point. They do own it. Majority of people hide behind the internet security blanket.

Police respond to any sudden death outside of hospitals and other medical facilities. Cops see a lot of death.
