Jason Zucker-Ryan Johansen-Jordan Eberle
Jared McCann-JT Compher-Mason Appleton
Kyle Clifford-Vladislav Namestnikov-Jake Virtanen
Garnet Hathaway-Jujhar Khaira-Julien Gauthier
Matt Nieto-Kevin Stenlund

Shayne Gostisbehere-Colin Miller
Nikita Zadorov-Radko Gudas
Brett Kulak-Ilya Lyubuskin
Hayden Fleury-Cal Foote
Will Butcher-Jeremy Lauzon
Jake Bean-Oliver Kylington

Ben Bishop
Jonathan Quick
Kaapo Kahkonen
Filip Gustavsson

That's a pretty decent lineup without even dipping into free agency or making a trade. Lots of flexibility on the backend to make some deals and recoup some players/picks.

I'd be shocked to see some of these picks

Have a hard time seeing them pick Johansen, who is declining and on a bad contract, and Virtanen, with his legal troubles.

And Gustavsson is protected.

Nashville figures that small 24 year old RD Carrier who is on a 2-two way (750/125k) contract and played 19 games last year and 24 career games is a better protection than Duschene, Johanssen and Jarnkrok

Unless the Kraken have a Pick , trade with $$ retained for the big guys plan, Jarnkrok is pretty solid middle 6 centre at 2M

They must be expecting Carrier to be a Calder contender this coming season

Tarasenko - Duchenne - Van Riemsdyke is a decent top line.

You could really build contending team in the West if done right.

They just want Seattle to take a big contract. It's pretty simple.

Duchene and Johansen have negative trade value, and Jarnkrok is a UFA next year.
Tanner Jeannot is kind of an interesting protection though. Not complaining.

Yup, they don't want to end up buying one out again ala Turris.

With all the big contracts available the Kraken would be looking at who to pick and what they can get in retained back if they retain salary.

Pick Gio retain 2.5 for 1 year and trade him for a ELC prospect or draft picks. Far better value than Kylington,

The Predators team chat group must be very entertaining right now. Can’t inagine morale or enthusiasm is very high among the veteran forward group there.

I take Jarnkrok over Duchene or Johansen. I take Johansen over Duchene. Duchene is done.

No its not. Any top line with Duchene as C is not a decent top line.

Yeah, Forsberg is the only real proven forward protected (Kunin is arguably proven I guess). And he's UFA next year.

But Nashville has 27 million in cap space and doesn't really have big names that need to be re-signed.

Looks like Poile is going to go crazy with free agency. Or with trades (since he already has).

I’m sure people said the same about idea of William Karlsson centring a top line.

Surprised people haven’t learned.

I'm surprised there's no trade deadline day type discussions with each network right now. Sportsnet and TSN would certainly get viewership for guys talking about nothing on who Seattle may pick.
