We barely beat a Bertuzzi-less Canucks team down to their 3rd string goalie.
They still had the 4th leading scorer in the league, who’d almost won the race just one year before. And it’s not like Bertuzzi suffered an unfortunate injury.

Crazy mf-er. End of the day, its a game. God do they take their team way too seriously.
You look back later in life and feel downright silly for putting an awful/likely sweep of a series ahead of your first born. Even if your spouse is cool enough to actually be ok with that, its still dumb.
So do they dress Allen since Price has lost his sharpness?

This looks exactly what what you would expect to see from arguably the best team in the league vs the lowest ranked team to make the playoffs. The problem with Cinderella teams is when the clock strikes midnight in the finals you end up with what we are witnessing. Just think the Lightning went from facing the Panthers to the Hurricanes to the Islanders to the worst team to make the playoffs. It's an inverse level of difficulty to win a Stanley Cup and while it's great for Lightning fans it sucks for the league to have the finals degenerate into a formality.

I tend to agree, but I'm not convinced Vegas would look any better than Montreal, so the "problem" may be more about how good The Lighting are than how poor the Habs are.

Almost like having a payroll 20% larger then the rest of the league creates a competitive advantage!

Suck it Montreal. I hope that POS writer that voted Iginla 12th or whatever it was for the hart trophy, giving it to Theodore, eats a particularly huge #### sandwich of disappointment.

I don’t think I view it quite the same way you do.
Tampa Bay is obviously the superior team on paper. They haven’t been playing like it the whole time though. Montreal was in fact the better team on the whole in game 2.
What is killing Montreal is their mistakes. Many goals they are allowing are absolutely avoidable.
Bad turnovers, that awful change by Petry allowing a 2 on 0. Gustafson deciding that being hard on that particular puck up for grabs isn’t his job. On top of that, they aren’t on the right side of the bounces. That rebound off the skate right to the open guy in front?
They showed great attention to detail in the first 3 rounds and just seem rattled.
Tampa isn’t winning the series, so much as Montreal is handing it to them
I wasn’t thinking it was a best team / worst team disparity. This series should be 2-1 arguable. But then again.. maybe that is what it is.
Watching Montreal this series is like watching the Flames. All year long.
