When you rely 100% on a goalie, and that goalie has a mediocre night, this is what happens.

Lifetime Suspension
At least we could have the team that swept EDM gets swept, and the team that swept them gets swept two rounds later.
Not quite perfect but almost.

Montreal probably doesn't get out of the first round if Tavares doesn't go down. In any case, with 3 of the top 4 dmen over 30, Price getting older, and Staal and Perry done soon I think this will be seen as a big missed opportunity because I don't think the Habs will get back here anytime soon.

Tavares, Shiefle and then Chanandler Bong or whatever his name was.
All 3 teams lost top line centers in the first game.

With Killorn out and replaced by Joseph, that drops Tampa's cap payroll to $85.6 million for their 20 man roster.

We've heard this same argument from Canuck fans if Bertuzzi was paying in the '04 round one series

Norm!
I expect Monday to be a total mercy killing where the game is over in the first period. Tampa won't give an inch.
Cinderella's slippers fell off and tumbled down the hill into a lake of super heated magma.

Weber and Danuault's body language in the post game presser wasn't good- looked pretty defeated. Not looking like a team that is going to bounce back.

Montreal’s dropped because they aren’t playing Tatar or Drouin. Petry was out for a while in the POs also, no?

The only team that had a legitimate chance of beating TB was the Avs and they fell to Vegas two rounds ago.

What team that was down 3-0 felt like they were in control?

I thought that would have been the dream final of the two clearly best teams.
But the Avs are showing that finishing is not their strong suit. They should have had at least a Finals run or an appearance in the semis by now.

Is Tatar girt or healthy scratch?

And they’re not wrong.
We barely beat a Bertuzzi-less Canucks team down to their 3rd string goalie.

He was hurt but he can’t crack the lineup now anyway - supplanted by Evans.
