Taking a while to get to 5000
|
I'll echo the sentiments for Montreal. Loved my time spent there (aside from the roads, constant construction etc).

A coaching change there would be my guess.

Given that the name is, hockey images that precede unfortunate events, it seems appropriate.

Awesome!! Thank the gods the expansion team won't win a cup this year. Perhaps their torture will forever be they came so close in the beginning and never get there again.
Carey Price, please collect your Conn Smythe.

Maybe more speed, and a game breaker. It felt like their stars were neutralized in this series

I liked Marc Bergevin, he's pretty happy. Big accomplishment!
Do you think Treliving will be dancing around like that and hugging all the players and staff? We may never know.

When we beat Vancouver in 2015 he was in the tunnel in the last minutes. He celebrated as the team came off the ice with the players.
I saw it myself. Burke and Conroy came out of the press area and I got exactly what i could have hoped a five on the down low from Burke and a massive hug from Connie.

Well, 2 things made the difference for them between RS and playoffs. 1) Carey Price, and 2) wildly different officiating standards.

You people know we’d have two Cups if it wasn’t for the Habs, right?
I can understand if you preferred Habs over Vegas, but the active cheering and over the top “so happy for the Habs!!!!1” vibes in this thread are gross.
Go Isles, obviously.

Amazing run for the Habs. If they end up playing Tampa, I hope they hammer them.
Stupid Tampa.
Either way, it's gonna be something to watch while we all shelter through 35+ heat next week.

Of the three remaining teams, 2 have a Cup at the Flames' expense and 1 has a Cup at the Oilers' expense.
Go Isles, indeed.

There's no one as likeable as Carey Price on any team left.

Silly take. Did they cheat to beat us? We came back and beat them 3 years later and showed them that we can win. "Revenge" if you will. Why harbour such ill feelings and hatred towards a non-rival all these years? It is unhealthy.

Honestly that’s my feelings these days. It takes too much energy to actively dislike every Canadian team and it has to be the Flames bringing back the cup to Canada. Just enjoy some hockey and relax. Really anyone but Edmonton and Vancouver. And screw Vegas.

They were
2nd seed against 18th seed and the longest odds in 3rd round history for betting

Will be getting at least five years of cocky Montreal fans from this little run, regardless of how it ends.
I suppose there are worse fanbases you could give this sort of ammunition to.
Can you believe we beat up on these guys this year?
