Yep, neither did I until I called to complain that my payments weren't being processed. It's now on your bank as "Bell Canada All in One Bill" instead of "Bell ExpressVu."
Really? On my PC Financial account it is still listed as 'Bell ExpressVu', and the last payment on Feb 15 was processed.

Perhaps you only need to use the All in One if you have a cell phone with them as well.

Bell's customer service is so bad. I would gladly add them to the Boycott list if ANYONE else would offer Center Ice.

I think that's the point though... You still have your same biller registered, but the biller actually changed so you need to update that with PC. At least, that's what I think he's trying to say.

Hi Ken,
Yeah I noticed that a few months back and made the change. Thanks though.

Just double checked, my payment now says "BELL CANADA (INCLUDING 'ONE BILL' ACCTS)" and I only have satellite with them. Looking through my bank records I last paid them as "Expressvu" in October. Double check the account number at the top of your bill with the one that you pay to with your bank.

The service I got picking up a truck and car carrier was the absolute worst I have ever experience (or even heard of).

We called the night before to confirm our reservation and were told everything was OK. When we went to pick up our truck the next day they gave us a piece of junk and said we had to drive 45 minutes away to pick up our car carrier and could trade in the truck for a better one.

At this time, I wasn’t ****ed off too bad so I just drove to the new shop. When we got there I was pleased to discover they only had a Tow Dolly for me and no spare trucks. A tow-dolly only picks up the front 2 wheels of you car and drags it on the rear wheels rather than picking up the whole car (that’s 2,000 unnecessary KMs on the rear wheels of my car). I explained my situation and produced my printed confirmation but the clerk just said “nothing I can do” and walked away from me. I asked to see the manager. When I demanded a new truck the manager just gave a small laugh and walked away from me. I followed him out back and grabbed him, let’s just say my wife had to physically stop me from punching a manager in the face.

I had 3 friends who took the Thursday off work (it was now about 3:00 pm) and they were waiting outside my house in 34 degree sunshine. With our house sold and my wife having to be at her new job in on Monday we didn’t have time to stick around and fight.

The move home from Toronto to Halifax in “the death trap on wheels" was not a fun trip. The A/C wasn’t working, when we opened the windows we couldn’t yell over the noise. The starter was shot, it would start when it wanted to, around every 30-45 key turns (yes it was a diesel but it wasn’t the glow plug), the engine leaked oil and the gas gauge didn’t work. This resulted in our stopping at gas stations more often to ensure not running out of diesel, and then each stop took forever to start the truck again.
The window behind our heads had a crack in it (not even sure why there was a window, you could only see the box of the truck) and the seats only came up to our shoulders with no head rests. Accident = back of heads through glass.

In the end I did get some of my money back from their office here in Halifax but it didn't really make up for it.

Hehe I worked at a U-Haul for over 4 years and I feel your pain. The problem is that none of the "rules" are enforced. Trucks are scheduled for maintenance every so often but noone actually makes you take it in for service. Even if my boss knew something was wrong with a truck, he wasn't about to lose a $2000 dollar rental because he knew U-Haul would not discipline him in any way.

Why don't you check your blades before you leave the store? It's very easy to tell if they've been done properly. I've had some very good sharpenings from SportSwap, and also some very bad ones. The key is the time of day. If you go while all the 15 year old kids are in school then you should be good.

If you live in the south I suggest taking them to the new place that just opened up in the Bonavista Rink building, or else the shoe repair guy in the Deer Valley mall.

I'm a little late to respond but I bought a number of items (one transaction) on NHL.com. They quoted me one price including shipping and email me the info confirming the same.

I review my credit card statements and not only did they overcharge me for delivery, they don't even tell me about it!

I called they're service line and the lady says that she can't do anything about it. I escalate the call and still get the same response from the dip##### manager, he advises me to send in my info and some proof and I do so accordingly.

Needless to say, it has been 7 weeks since I have done so and I haven't seen a call, email or any money back from them.

p.s. the amount they charged me was an additional $55 (from 23 bucks to just under 80), just for two jerseys and bunch of little things.

Buyer beware when using NHL.com

By any chance was it the White Oaks Wal-Mart? They are a bunch of morons in there.

Yeah, you were right, the account numbers were different. Thanks for the heads up!

But, I called Bell, and the payment I made on Feb 15 was processed by them even though it was paid with the 'Bell ExpressVu' account ID. Regardless, I updated my online banking to pay the bill to the new account ID of 'Bell Canada - One Bill' Hopefully, that next payment goes through also. You never know with Bell.

Ugh ... Bell SUCKS. Would it have been to hard to send an information sheet out with one of the bills to let us know things were changing? I know I didnt get anything.

Add this to my long list of grievances with Bell. It started the month I signed up. It took EIGHT months, and 5 calls totalling about 4 hours, to get my new customer $10/month credit (and back credit) added to my bill. At least it is there every month now and hopefully it will stay there until the end of the 24 month period. With that sign up promotion I was also supposed to get Center Ice at 50% cost for the first year, but I never did. They charged me the full amount and would never credit me the 50%. They claimed that they had no such knowledge of a promotion like that. When I signed up, I was still naive enough not to have printed off a copy of the promo. Therefor, I had no way to prove the offer ever existed. I kept going up the ladder each call, but to no avail. I finally cut my losses and gave up because $90 is only worth so much of my time. Unfortunately, I bet that is what they often count on.

Another vote for Futureshop. The stress they've given me the last month over a LCD tv is surreal. The situation is much too long and tedious to describe. I will never deal with them again.

Red Robin.

Was sitting in their lounge area, when a waitress walked by and spilled an entire tray of drinks, much of it hitting me, including red wine. She apologized, but I expected to be taken care of after that.

But, she gave me my bill like nothing happened. Sorry to the service industry people on here, but I should have eaten for free that night.

not just that, i found when i was in FS even if I was going to buy something. (the merchandize in my hand already), no one would greet. When I have question about certain item, I would see 4 or 5 FS salesperson standing together chatting like they are having a bbq dinner at a park or something. even if I approach them, they would just trying to avoid that and pick someone to answer, and the sales that had to answer questions, feels like he was saying "damn, why me?" before answering some customer inquiries.

so now i just go to BestBuy, and never FS.

About a month ago, a buddy and I walked into Futureshop with the plans for me to buy a Shaw HD PVR (700), and my friend a TV (1000). We looked around, and then just stood there, making it very obvious we were waiting for some help. Throughtout this time, a salesman was either on the computer, or standing at a distance. While we waited, I noticed him staring at us. So I went up to him and asked him if he worked in that department, and he said yes. So I told him to find us a sales associate to help us, other than himself. So he did.

I asked the new guy if he would make commission on a sale, but he didn't. He did say however, that the guy who ignored us, would have.

His loss.

Did you complain to the manager?

You should have at least been compensated for the cleaning of your clothes.

No I didn't, it was one of those weak moments where I didn't do anything when I should have. Unfortunately, my silent boycott does nothing good or bad for the company, so they won't learn from mistakes made.

This is an excellent thread, by the way.

You know they are actually owned by the same company, right? I am suprised you find service at one better than the other.

I love to use their price match guarantees against each other. I get a real sense of devious satisfaction from it.

Nothing stopping you from going back and talking to the manager. You could explain your incident from the other night and mention to him/her that you had clothes damaged from the drinks the waitress spilled. The worst that could happen is they say is sorry I can't help you. Chances are they will offer you a gift certificate or something for your trouble. If your approach is right I don't see why the latter can't happen.

Mine was cheaper at FS than it was at Shaw. $650 vs $700.
