Florida is a fun team to watch and obviously the Bennett story makes it a lot more interesting for some people here
MacKinnon sometimes enters playoff beast mode and when he is on it’s something special
I don’t think that at the end of the day it’s the fans or the limited in-division structure that ruined hockey for anyone who isn’t feeling it. It was watching the Flames. The franchise put one of the worst products on the ice this year
I’m board with the rinse and repeat guy, I’ll pick whatever team I want to win every series, rinse and repeat between rounds

Believe the official term for that series is Pens vs Caps

The last 3 games the Flames play are like the reverse playoffs. Flames and Canucks are playing for a higher draft position. So I'm hoping they get swept by the Canucks somehow. But knowing the Flames, they're going to win all 3 and Flames it up when it don't matter.

Well I won’t be wasting my time telling others I’m not watching.

I've proposed before that instead of a lottery, the non-playoff teams have a tournament for draft seeding. This way, every team has something to play for in April - May.

I think they should give picks in order of most points earned after mathematical elimination. The true bottom feeders get eliminated sooner so they have more games to get points, and it gives everyone something to play for.

Maybe call it a relegation round where the ultimate loser gets the E=NG trophy

I have considered this before. Of course for many of the players, this amounts to playing for nothing. And it runs contrary to helping the worst teams which is supposed to be the point of the draft.
But it's a winner for the fans for sure.

That sounds like a good idea and would make things interesting.

It's not a terrible suggestion, but it does have the unfortunate side effect of incentivizing early losses for tank commander GMs, and might kill trade deadline activity as well.

Every series should be broadcast Canada wide. They have been in years past.
