I won't be watching. How many feel this way? The pandemic and the Flames have killed all interest for me.

I don’t think I watched one game outside the Northern Division this year.

I'll watch...get interested in a particular team, then be crushed when they lose...

Select another team...rinse, repeat...

Its playoff hockey !!! I'm in.

I'll be watching. Start off hoping for Leafs & Oilers losses. Then whoever comes out of the North to lose. Then I'll likely latch onto whichever team (if any) start a cinderella run. Really a lot of petty playoff watching coming my way.

The finals will be more fun than last year though no matter who plays. Full stands more than likely, plenty of actual Stanley Cup emotion. Last year the hockey was fine but it felt off obviously. Its going to feel like a real Stanley Cup final to me this year.

I'll watch some playoffs, but I won't be following it per se. I'm like troutman, the interest was just killed by the Flames this year with their garbage play.

As long as the Oilers lose.

This year has been the culmination of a few years for me. I have struggled to be engaged in a league that has such poor officiating and poor supplemental discipline.

It's sad because hockey a such a great game, fast and physical. The league could be so much better, IMO.

You may be pleasantly surprised by how good some of the hockey is outside of the Canadian division. The Flames may be the least entertaining team to watch in the NHL but it's not like Leafs games have been entertaining as they have been largely going through the motions playing just good enough to stay atop the worst division in hockey. The Canadian teams in general are not the greatest examples of the NHL product at least this season. Ottawa is rebuilding, the Canucks are almost as unwatchable as the Flames, nobody cars about the Jets, Habs are bad team, Oilers are a bad team with two really good players, and the Leafs are a team of big names that don't make for a great mix. In particular I have found games from the Central and Eastern division to be considerably more entertaining and better hockey. Higher skilled and faster paced than what fans that have exclusively watching the Canadian division may be used to.

All I care about is the Oilers losing. I'll only watch if they're getting embarrassed.

I think the Florida Tampa Bay series will be intriguing.

Plus the Sam Bennett thread will be fun to watch every time he gets a point.

That’s my thought too. Barkov and Huberdeau are fun to watch.

This one and the Boston v Washington series should be quite entertaining!

Crosby is always fun to watch and although I fear the Isles being a spoiler, you could end up with another Pitt-Wash series

Florida is a fun team to watch and obviously the Bennett story makes it a lot more interesting for some people here

MacKinnon sometimes enters playoff beast mode and when he is on it’s something special

I don’t think that at the end of the day it’s the fans or the limited in-division structure that ruined hockey for anyone who isn’t feeling it. It was watching the Flames. The franchise put one of the worst products on the ice this year

I’m board with the rinse and repeat guy, I’ll pick whatever team I want to win every series, rinse and repeat between rounds

I'll be watching Florida for Sam and Pittsburgh to see the real best player in the NHL doing his thing.

Will not be watching. I mean if I’m home I might have a game on in the background but I certainly will not be making time to watch.

I think someone can update the thread title.
Bruins - Caps confirmed to play Saturday.

Also, I hope they aren't holding up the North division for the Flames-Nucks to play their last games??

No reason to hold up the North division for those two teams.

Start them on Sunday or Monday... Then, with us playing during the playoffs, we can feel like we're still in it!

Is it weird I get such a kick out of reading people putting effort into telling others they won't be doing something?

May 18th at Vancouver goes at 2:00 pm

May 19th vs. Vancouver goes at 1:30 pm

Why bother with the last 2. There will be almost zero TV audience (if the games are even televised).

I'd rather watch them play baseball against each other.

Or make it so the winner of the games gets to count them as losses for a better draft position.

Just spit-balling here.
