I'm not happy with this win because it moves the Flames down 5 spots in the draft lottery order, but I will be thrilled by this win retrospectively if the Habs lose both their remaining games in regulation and the Flames win all 4 of their games against the Nucks. It all depends on what happens next.

Sens are #2 overall since the start of April...and they won last night
Nice tank

If they wanted to tank they could have lost the remaining games and finished bottom 4. With tonight's win, your right, they'll likely be 8th or 9th worst. They absolutely could ice a team that would have trouble winning and why not at this point? As a fan I'd way rather a top 4 pick than winning any meaningless games now. I know mathematically they're not out but they're done.

Some of the calls tonight make it seem like we're watching soccer.

Does anyone think Ottawa would bite on Tkachuk and Monahan for Stutzle deal?

No, why would they?
ETA: more details - I think the Sens are finally in a position where they have confidence in their young players, and Stutzle is a potential stud in the making. I doubt they'd listen to much in trade talks for him.

No. Stutzle is going to be their best player. Plus he’s on an ELC and then a controllable RFA deal.

Gawdin plays with some snarl to his game... noticed it quite a bit with the Heat. He was constantly in the middle of things after whistles.

As others have said, the Sens are actually playing well these days (not tonight). But also the Flames have thumped them a couple times, just not enough.
The way the Sens played tonight, I don’t know if the Flames could have lost even if they sat the entire top line and Markstrom.

The Flames quality of play was the difference, tonight.
