Stajan says that Gio just talks about getting a cup. So let’s get him one. What contenders could use a pretty good aging D.

You saw his turnover at the blueline causing a goal against? He can simply chip the puck out instead

Controlled the play for two periods, didn't finish enough chances, and then scored on themselves.

TBH I thought Tkachuk had a reasonably good game until that point. None of his huge turnovers, and a few good chances. I thought Lindholm was the weak link on that line most of the night.

56 (maybe) games you don't have to see in person or pay for is not the worst thing to endure for top 10 or maybe better pick.

I will be patient with what's happening under Darryl as I understand he's trying to get them to play a certain way and it's not happening overnight and I'm fine with that. It's been a disaster of the season so the best thing that can happen is if they keep losing. They could have two of the first 35 picks in the draft and that could be huge in regards to setting up the team to be good for the new arena opening. All of that said I would hope Darryl will try to open things up a little offensively next season as this is painful to watch.

This whole agenda to make Gaudreau and Monahan 200ft players needs to stop.
A game at home and you give them 20% offensive zone starts and tougher matchups.
Surprise surprise they got caved in by the Leafs.
Shelter then and let them put up points, should have tried to make them more complete players when they were 20. Might be too late to turn that ship around now.

Didn't bother watching this one, but the final result is pretty much what I expected. Looking forward to the trade deadline and the off season, and hopefully we'll see the necessary changes.

No signs of changing up that Gaudreau line. Why mess with success?

This team is so fragile. Give 'em a lead and then get tied and they just ... lose it.
Credit for coming back after giving up a crap first goal. But it ends there. Team looked good for about 28 minutes - from 2 minutes into the first until they started to sit back in the second.
All downhill after that.l

Agreed, however, as the team's highest pay player I am expecting him to be better. Not disappointing though as even a win does not mean a thing now.

Solution:
-tank hard
-sell off for 2022 1st rounders
-tank again in 2022
-sell off for 2023 1st rounders
Hopefully that’s all it takes if done properly

Agreed on this. Plus, although I am grateful the owners always spend to the cap, giving Tre no limits on the cap hit. They obviously have been ok with mediocre results from an equally mediocre GM. Can’t expect owners to also pay another high salaried position (GM) when they already have paid out so many of his coach hires to not be here.
Or what they could do is just get rid of Treliving and all the other assistant GMs besides Conroy(leaving him as the one asst GM) and not hire back those same roles. So as to trim the salaries in that regard.

Can you get Covid from watching hockey games?
Because everytime I watch the flames play I feel nauseous.
