See that power skating work Nurse did with specialists like Michelle and Ryan Moore. I wonder if Monahan or Chucky have ever decided to put that kind of specialist work in the off-season. Just like Horvat did after his second year in the league.

Flames have to find a way to get Johnny Gaudreau going. Thanks Anthony! How about we start by removing the two boat anchors weighing him down?

Gaudreau has been buzzing all night. If he was shooting on Markstrom he would have a goal and 3 assists rather than just an assist.

There isn't a goal the Jets have scored that Markstrom had zero chance on.

I agree with that. I just don’t think it’s fair to pile on the goalies when the team in front of them scores 1 goal per game and gives up an ungodly amount of odd man rushes against.

Nordstrom doesn’t cost near as many plays going the other way. Tkachuk had at last three brutal giveaways tonight and we’re not done.

I think Gaudreau has been the best skater for either team.

Whether you’re right or not...Flames have no chance if that is correct.
One player in the top 6?

Gaudreau, Monahan, LIndholm, Tkachuk
The Flames need those 4 to consistently to be the best forwards, or at least 3 of the 4, to have a hope at the playoffs.
Here we are. Of all the reasons for a bad season, those 4 deserve much of the blame.

I can’t think of a single game I thought Tkachuk was really good, which is weird, because previous seasons he has been reasonably consistent at being “good”.

No he wouldn't because Monahan would flub the shot and wouldn't even get it on net

I am gonna disagree with you. Monahan is not a 3rd liner. He is a boederline NHLer right now. His only skill is gone. Completely useless.
Roast away.

I said the exact same thing a couple years ago. I got laughed at..

With Tkachuk, I think he's more than likely just having a bad season and is having some confidence issues. Every player goes through it at some point. I'm convinced that he'll bounce back next year. He's way too talented not to, and he's still pretty young.
Monahan I'm not so sure about anymore. I think maybe it's time to trade him and get whatever we can for him. Dude's play has completely dropped off a cliff this year.

You have to think the Canucks are licking their chops coming in to face Markstrom.
