So typical by Leaf fans and Snet to blame that on Anderson. Two deflections off their defenseman, one brutal giveaway in their own zone and a snipe off the post by Tanev while screened.

But, all the Snet analysis is Leafs Leafs Leafs l.

Flames played fine but need a lot more possession in the o zone. 3rd and 4th line needs to do that. When the top line got the puck and space they did create more space.

I'd love to see more replication of game two vs Montreal in terms of their even strength play.

The Flames have yet to trail in Toronto. 2-2-1 now v. the Division leader.

Did the top line have more than 2 scoring chances?

I remember one.

Yup...so was a guy of Holl's size going after Gaudreau...

The pull down actually reminded me a bit of Kassian last year.

There was one dish from Johnny to Ritchie in the slot, which was shot wide(quick one timer, I believe). That is all I can recall.

I can’t think of anything great. Then again, the whole team had maybe 5 good chances (the Lindholm line’s 2 goals were on complete non-high scoring chances).

Keefe was really working at getting Matthews and Marner out versus Monahan and Gaudreau, so they were in tough.

Just get into these playoffs this season and anything could happen.

Not blaming him, I don’t think he was trying to injure him or anything. It could have turned out badly though.

The division has tightened right up. 7 points separating 1-6.

Ya that actually may have been the worst game I’ve ever seen Gaudreau play. Need to capitalize and just trade him. He won’t be a part of a successful playoff run anyway. Sell now. He’s awful these days anyway, super uninterested.

It's really difficult to watch Gaudreau attempt to play fast-paced hockey (which he is trying to do) on a unit with two linemates who are just so, so slow.

He breaks out with speed... but neither Monahan nor Ritchie can find separation even remotely in time. So he's forced to fend for himself.

Win against the top team in the Division and this thread is only at 5 pages?

Win is a win and Markstrom came up big when he had to. Happy Friday!

Great win! About time we win a game when we're not at our best.

Missed the game but just saw the highlights and tkachuk fight. Bizarre. Why did Holl start to pick up his gloves? Drops them right away, 1/2 a second later tkachuk drops and Holl is already turning away to pick gloves up. Tkachuk was obviously going to fight.
