Special teams wise, absolutely.

In terms of absolute braindead turnovers 5v5 that led to easy gimmies, absolutely.

In terms of how the Flames fell apart in the 3rd, absolutely.

But overall, at 5v5, the Flames played pretty good against Edmonton. Even Sutter said so himself.

Tonight, the Flames got dominated at 5v5.

Very interested to hear what Sutter has to say after this game, because a game like today is not the way he likes to play at all.

Sagged harder in the 3rd period than Madonna's....popularity. Work in progress.

I’m okay with winning ugly just win. This teams top players won’t out perform other teams top players so just gut it out by any means possible.

I can’t figure out how Markstrom made that save.
Like I’ve watched that reply a few times and I don’t know what part of him it hit

Wow, Matthews with only 3 goals in his last 10 games. It's almost like he's not even a real NHL center.

It looks like his shoulder as he dove across?

Incredible desperation save.

Seeing how the Leafs lost aren't they the ones that need to be better?

Lucic and Bennett both missed empty nets...could have made it easier but a wins a win

Imagine complaining about Markstrom when the Flames tip in a shot against him

Great to have the win.

If the east feed gets Cuthbert and Simpson, we should be given Ball and Hrudey on a Friday night too.

I thought Tkachuk, Hanifin, Mangiapane and Dube stood out as having pretty strong games. Bennett seemed to gain a bit of traction in the 3rd period.

Important win. Important to bounce back from that loss and get some momentum back.

Markstrom made the saves to preserve the the 4-3 lead, and on a pretty rough night for him it’s still good to see him help us hang on for the win.
