Since Eichel in Toronto seeing a specialist, wouldn't that count towards the quarantine period?

According to Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman,
Everyone on the Detroit Red Wings roster is available at the deadline outside of Dylan Larkin, along with prospects Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond. Friedman specifically mentioned Tyler Bertuzzi and Anthony Mantha as players that will generate a lot of interest.
Would like Mantha, but might have to wait until the offseason. If Sutter could get him to work hard and have a good work ethic, Mantha would be a steal.

Bertuzzi is my number 1 target if that’s possible. Mantha would be great, if he wanted to be the player that everyone knows he can be.

Scott Burnside with the crappiest homer Leafs trade possible. Kerfoot, a horrible prospect and a pick for one of the most dynamic offensive players in the league.

My dumb trade proposal: Simon (CGY) for Jankowski (PIT). 700 k each one year contracts, both underperforming, might as well ship them back to their former clubs.

Bertuzzi strikes me as a guy Sutter would like-he's a physical, aggressive agitating winger with some scoring touch. RFA at the end of the season, makes 3.5M/yr this season. He's a LW though, which we have in abundance. He would be a great add if he can play RW. 6'1"200lbs.
Mantha would be more of a project for Sutter, but if the coach could get him going, he would be ticking a lot of boxes for us. Huge, good skater, good hands, and pretty mean. Plays RW too. 5.7M for this year, and the next 3 years though, so that would take some movement from Tre.

Looking at it from a "glass is half full" perspective-at least Janko can kill penalties. Simon doesn't bring much to the table. I was glad to be rid of Janko though, so I wouldn't have to hear all the vitriol from the fans that he brought at the end here.

We once had a Simon make it to the cup finals under Sutter. Maybe we should keep this one around.

Let’s grab a Gauthier, too. There’s gotta be a guy named Clark in the league, too?

With the prices people were paying last year at the deadline, I'm sure that's not enough to get it done. Barclay Goodrow netted a first, Dillon got a 2nd and a 3rd.

Big differences there? Contract status, and that was pre-covid.
Mantha’s deal has big dollars left on it and he’s openly criticized for effort level - do you think he will have massive value with his contract? I don’t. Most teams are already up against the cap and can’t just take on that type of cap-hit this year, or in the flat cap for years to come.
People will make space for players like Eichel etc., but for Mantha level players? I don’t think so.

I can see what you’re saying, but I think he’ll be viewed as being only 26, locked up long-term, and fully capable of being a 30 goal scorer, based on his numbers from the last 2 years. Even in a down year like this, he still has 14 pts in 28 games, which isn’t too bad. The team getting him will be giving him a new lease on life. I can still see the price starting at a first rounder. Just my opinion.

I am wondering if the Flames would have interest in Sam Reinhart. RS top 6 forward who might slot in nicely with SM and JG.
Every indication is that Buffalo is going to have to hit the reset button on their rebuild and start over. It's going to get worse before it gets better there. Can the Flames pry Rienhart out without having to give up much off of the current roster? Could a mix of pics, prospects (not named Zary or Pelettier), and Kylington be enough? Perhaps I am squinting a bit here, but I wonder if the Flames are showcasing Kylington at the moment. Would a 1st, Kylington, and prospect be enough/too much?
It seems to me, and I don't think I am alone, but the biggest need is a RS top 6 forward for the team. With the quarantine rules being what they are, I doubt the Flames will want to give up active roster players. By building a package around futures, which should be of interest the Sabres, the Flames might be able to add Reinhard without having to sacrifice from the current roster.
For further context, I firmly believe based on recent public comments made by Sutter that he came back to win a cup, and with he and Treliving having two years left after this one, that the Flames could start to leverage picks and prospects here in short order.
