Left the game in the first. He took a couple hits. I am guessing it was a hit, they didn't show anything, they mentioned he wasn't on the bench.

Maybe the Flames should hire Geoff Ward.

Oh here we go with the pyramid of salty tears

- Darryl is washed up
- Darryl isn’t washed up but Calgary does not have the players
- ok ok maybe those aren’t true but no way they score enough to win a game
- alright thats it... This is boring hockey cause umm I said so. Winning this way shouldn’t count. Fingers in ears can’t hear you!

Reading HF Oil their fans think the Oilers are better on paper.

What the hell.

They have no depth.

Witnessing your team's slow death over 60 minutes without having the puck much would be boring I suppose.

Fun as hell to be on the other side of it though.

That was a a boring game???

P.S. Not sure why the link isn't working. Just type 'oilers nation' without a space instead of hashtags.

I stopped watching during the end of Wards last 4-5 games. And this was the first game where i started yelling about goals and ref calls again. Least boring game since Wart.

Hrudey and the SN highlight people kept saying McDavid's uncharacteristic giveaways led to goals. What the hell have they been watching? McDavid turns pucks over a few times each game.

I like our lines 2-4, our defence in our own end, and our goaltending better. I’ll give them the obvious edge in elite talent on the top line and their defenseman have been good offensively this season.

I don’t think there’s much difference between the two overall. The only times they ever beat us is when McDavid goes off and gets 3-5 points.

I’m sorry but Draisaitl just doesn’t scare me like McDavid does. That dude is so overrated.

I agree. IMO he was the best player tonight. Mangiapane was close but Hanifin was a beast on both ends. He’s growing more confident but I still give a lot of that credit to Tanev.

97 points and a minus-6 last year.

How do you think that happens without frequent and regular turnovers?

Is it wrong that I want the Flames to sign Ritchie to a multi-year deal asap?

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

How many odd man rushes has the opposition had in the last 3 games?

Players make the decision as to whether they have the time and space to carry it in...or not. He’s not telling them to dump and chase.....he wants good decisions.
Look, I agree with what you're saying. That is what he is saying to the team

However, Gaudreau dumped it in 3 times tonight, the moment he crossed center, despite having time and space. He was looking to dump it in.

Sutter has been talking to him a lot. And Johnny ain't dumping the puck in any more than necessary, without encouragement to do so.

25 more minutes for the wonder duo.

For the most part they played them very well.

It's kind of like 3 on 3 - there ain't no Ottawa games in the playoffs. And against everyone else, the Oilers aren't fooling anyone.

Lucic’s 11 points put him 8th among Flame forwards. So he’s right where he should be in the lineup. The guys ahead of him are exactly who you’d expect.

He’d be 5th on the Oilers. Ahead of PullYour RV

Out of thanks, but this is exactly it. They are built for the regular season. It is a team game once you play games that matter.
