I think this has yet to be determined. The guys on the radio sound pretty confident that he will not be available, but then they are also clearly speculating. We will find out at the PC.

Also, right after that, I realized that Bennett is likely not going anywhere anymore. If ever there was a Sutter style player in the game Sam Bennett is him.
Get ready for 16-18 minute a night Sam Bennett.
|
Actually don't agree - think it might be the opposite. Sam wants out and Sutter won't put up with that in his dressing room. I think it will speed up the end of Bennett's time in Calgary.

He wasn't part of the playoff run, but Steven Reinprecht was a little like Johnny. Lombardi played more reckless than Gaudreau, hence running into Hatcher's elbow the way he did.

There are different ways of working hard.
I suspect that Sutter will be pushing Gaudreau to a) keep his feet moving and be engaged, and b) stop making bad decisions at the offensive blueline
I am not at all worried about Gauderau under Sutter. In fact, I expect that he will be thrilled at the change in compete level on the team. And also the change from circling back and regrouping to uptempo transition.

Just reading Francis. Apparently he reads CP (without admitting it):
https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...ense-approach/
"An ownership group that has long been hesitant to spend big money on a coach will do exactly that in a year in which losses are already expected to be in excess of $60 million."

I think Sutter is the kind of coach that this team needs right now - by year 3 of the deal he might have worn out his welcome but the team only really has 2-3 years left in the window.

Darryl: OK item A, no drop passes under my watch. We enter the offensive zone like men here.

Whoever discovers Francis’ CP burner account gets a life time ban exemption.

I don't.
Just going off the things said by guys on the radio this morning.
Pinder mentioned he has a source that told him there has been 1 test already completed.
Also the presser will tell us a lot...if BT and Darryl are together then the protocol will have been completed, but if he is still on the ranch its likely they just made the decision yesterday or the day previous.

He wasn't here in 2004 but Huselius is a better comparable. Lombardi was not close skill wise.
Huselius' career flourished under Sutter.

I would be surprised if they are together even if and when the tests are completed. NHL press conferences this season have featured everyone in their own little bubbles.
