You’re 100% right. When you look at it, and with the 3 year deal, it’s obvious this decision was made in the last day or two, and they just waited until after this game, win or lose, to pull the trigger.
It is hilarious though that the Sens have killed 3 coaches in their last 7 games, 2 of which was after they lost.

On the flip side, Gaudreau and Monahan?

I bet we get the BEST Gaudreau and Monahan we've ever seen. I bet EVERYONE looks the best they've looked because they finally have a real coach.
I could not be more excited.

I know what he wants. I also know what Johnny does. he works hard when the spirit strikes, and sometimes he doesn’t. Huselius and Tanguay didn’t play for him as a coach. But they weren’t that happy in Calgary.

Yeah like seriously. I am fully anticipating Treliving being shown the door tomorrow too.

This move was so badly needed. Even tonight, I thought the Flames lacked structure, especially in their own end. It was evident the players weren't buying into Ward's system, and that Ward was in way over his head.

Only move Tre had to save his job. Known guy to team no quarantine problems, proven and experienced
Nice now we see if this saves his job. If Sutter fails look out this offseason.

Does he have to quarantine? I hope he’s on the bench next game!

No reason, why, isn’t it a possibility?
They did make GM Darryl fire Keenan

That term feels like ownership push and Darryl having him over a barrel imo.
Treliving really might be gone.

Fascinated to see what effect he has on Bennett.
You would think that Sam is very much a Daryl kind of guy....and hopefully he can get something ouy of him.

IMO Sutter was the best coach out there. And perfect for this crew if they think newbie coaches are pushovers. He’s a bigger hockey name than any of them.

Not really shocking. Ward was in the hot seat I just thought an assistant was gonna take over. But great move and now it’s on the players!
