It's my birthday today so without giving too much away, the Flames win by 1 in a very high scoring game. Very.

Fully agree but its not really a narrative.
It's the same poster repeating themselves and probably trolling us.
Lets just ignore it before Francis reads CP and turns it into a story.

Oilers didn’t play very hard last night and were there for the taking. I imagine they are going to be tougher tonight. Not expecting much but a strong effort would be enough. A win would be gravey

Put up or shut up. This seems like the biggest game so far of the season. With that in mind, I don’t expect much at all. This team is mailing it in, it’s busted. I’ll never cheer for losses but worst case a bunch of losses should lead to some change, right?!?

Remember when people tried to chase Chris Drury out of town because he never smiled.
Pepperidge farms remembers.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane
Lucic - Bennett - Dube
Who cares
Is it really that hard to ice your best lineup Ward?? This team needs to get over itself a bit... Lindholm just play with Johnny and Mony and get things going again, Johnny is on fire it’s time to try and get 3 or 4 of our big guys going.
Can this team be trusted to sometimes use their skill too?? Enough of the constant dump and chase method it’s so easy to defend against especially if your not making them pay with the body when you go for the retrieval. This team is more than capable of good hockey they just need to be given the best chance to put it together and they just aren’t being given that right now. Maddening.

i'm not a troll. Been religous fan since 1986 playoffs. If that how happy our most talented player is after making a great play this team is ####ed and it shows on then ice. Even before Johnny got here we heard he wanted to play near his home area. Treliving worked him over on his salary just like the Flames management has on a lot of our best players. When i get screwed over moneywise i don't forget and most people would agree. I think his heart is down east and don't blame him so want a return instead of what they did with Iginla.

He's trying to be a leader.
Which is a lot more than can be said about the other players who wear letters for this team.

And that’s great but he’s been absolutely horrible this year with especially lazy efforts. It’s good that he’s saying it’s on him but really it is on this team right now as a whole and they have to start playing a team game.
I know this team is capable of more but I’m constantly waiting to see them put it together. Johnny and Markstrom are at another level right now and I’m really hoping the rest of the team including Tkachuk catch up.

Yeah, I'd just like to see Tkachuk get going. I don't think there's all that much hope for this team as a whole, but I think Tkachuk is our best chance to move beyond this cluster!@#$ in the future so I want to see him step up and give it his all and start executing.
He's talking about taking personal responsibility.
Giordano isn't doing that. Backlund isn't doing that. Ward sure as !@#$ isn't doing that.

Your making a mountain out of a molehill. We don't know the reasons for Johnny's face expressions, we do know that he is usually excited. Do you smile everyday or do you frown occasionally when other people least expect it?
Johnny probably had his reasons let's leave it at that!

Knowing the Flames it will translated to Tkachuk taking a big run at someone first shift and getting a penalty which puts us down immediately.

This is a good point; Coach probably needs to come out and call these players out. Like last season when Chucky was giving it his all while other guys just mailed it in has to start getting a bit discouraging.
