That's definitely true about Kylington. But at his age, it feels like something that he could correct given the opportunity to play.
Doesn't feel like the Flames have the patience to find out though given how they've gone out 2 trade deadlines in a row to bump him out of the lineup.
He's 4 years younger than Nesterov and a year younger than Mackey even. Feels like his ceiling could be higher still, but unlikely to reach it with the Flames.
when Treliving said "bull####" i thought pat was going to interrupt him and say
"Sorry Brad I had to let you go, we just can't have you using that kind of language on here. You can call back another time but we have to let you go right now."
The only time I see Kylington use his boots consistently is when he's been beat and he's chasing someone down.
That's a good thing ... glad he has that gear, but he doesn't utilize his skill set any where near enough.
He has more development road, but I don't see him in the top four of any NHL franchise.
Nesterov is pretty decent ... he's a solid 6 on most teams.
Mackey I think has more ... he sees the ice well. I could see him in a 4-5 role if they give him time.
Yea unfortunately I’m starting to come to that conclusion as well about Kylington. I really like his tools but he is not putting it all together.
I do like Nesterov and agree he is a #6 but also like you think Mackey has more to show which is why I was being a little bit of a smart ass in my Kylington comment.
I think Nesterov makes some poor decisions sometimes, mostly when it comes to pinching, so I have no problem seeing him sit in favour of Mackey.
I would still like to see Kylington get some games.
