Dont forget its a very condensed 56 games.

His history also suggests injuries, not saying hes prone but some rest for the guy would be ideal. Problem is he, like Kiprusoff, would want to play every game if he was given that chance.

Did someone share this?

ON PLAN FOR THE GOALIES:

"We talk about it. Now we're getting to a point in the schedule where we're playing a lot, so we're going to start using Ritter a lot more than what he's played already. We'll go on a week-by-week basis and sort of map out what the potential schedule is going to look like for them, and then, of course, it's all subject to various things. ... We're going to have a plan in place for those guys so they know what their week is going to look like and we'll take it from there."

Yeah, there is virtually no relevance here. This is just bitching for the sake of it, and inventing reasons to be angry.

No doubt Markstrom asked for all of these.

Rittich should be perfectly fine as long as the team can clean things up a bit.

Main thing is that the coaching staff has plans to mix in Rittich and the handwringing about potential fatigue is inventing reasons to be angry

Well, he didn't just suddenly forget how to play. His confidence has been completely shot, and the only way for him to get it back is to play.

Rittich has to play games.

Yeah, I agree that there is a higher risk of injury with the shorter turnaround between games, but Markstrom is almost certainly not going to play all—like any—of the back-to-backs. But even 48 games in the space of 5 months is not significantly more taxing than 60 in six. I still think Rittich is going to turn it around and get more starts down the stretch.

I could be wrong though ...

Assuming I'm right, then you have to go back to the top nine again, and that's where it gets sticky.

Lindholm, Tkachuk, Monahan, Gaudreau, Backlund, Mangiapane all have to be there ... that's 6

Dube, Lucic and Bennett are my next three if you can find a way to get them onto the the three lines and I think that's the challenge.

Tkachuk - Lindholm - X
Gaudreau - Monahan - X
Lucic - Backlund - Mangiapane

I'm all for trying Bennett with Tkachuk and Lindholm, I didn't like Dube there.

Then you have a fourth line that hopefully can all kill penalties. Nordstrom is already doing it, can Simon?

And Leivo is the forgotten man in this case (he's been a healthy scratch any way).
Yea I’m with you I don’t mind spreading talent throughout the roster but the best players should all be in the top 9.

If Ward isn’t going to keep the bubble line together maybe he should mix things up all together..

Tkachuk-Lindholm-Bennett
Gaudreau-Monahan-Dube
Lucic-Backlund-Mangiapane
Nordstrom-Froese-Robinson

Hmm Johnny & Mony's line continues to be a rotating door at RW. Let's see how Simon does.

Could Backlund-Lindholm work together?

Tkachuk - Backlund-Lindholm
Gaudreau - Monahan - Mangiapane
Lucic - Bennett - Dube

Those are our best 3 lines I think.

According to the assembled media via twitter, Ritchie draws in. Bennett centering 4th line with Backlund back. Froese out. Simon still in.

Bennett at C on the 4th line.

Waiting for the Ward presser saying that’s what Bennett wanted.

Media in this city makes so many excuses for the coaching staff,

All I’ve seen today is “He has to move Bennett off that line since Backlund is back”, not like there isn’t infinite other options he could look at.
