Imagine if we just brought that intensity to more shifts, and it didn’t taken a dirty play to rile us up into playing with fire.
Exactly. But this group just doesn't have that in them, they haven't for years. When they feel like it, they can play with emotion and be a tough team to play against. When they don't feel like playing that way they get run right over. Until some major roster changes are made we're going to have to live with this team, one that is just consistently inconsistent and just plays when they're in the mood.

I'd like a win, but I'd prefer an effort, a solid, organized game, where everyone is on the same page. I think that makes for a win, but I'd be okay with a "good try" loss.

What we saw the other night.... I don't wanna watch again.

Lindholm has that streak in him where he'd want to do it himself so I don't have a problem with that, but yeah, Edler is on the ice half the game, so there was plenty of chance for someone to additionally target Edler before Lindholm got his chance.

Lucic? A perfect spot for Tkachuk to provide some impact after a very tepid game for him. They don't have to jump him, but line him up specifically as Lindy did. Tkachuk did I guess halfway, but Edler was waiting for it and got the stick up.

I wonder if Rinaldo comes in for tonight over Froese.

The morning skate is at 12:30, so we'll probably find out more then.

Just once it would be nice if the Flames showed emotion start to finish and laid a beating on the other team.

When was the last time that happened? Take some time to come up with an answer.

Love the flames, more or less hate the current team.

They'll finally be embarrassed enough to show up, and get comfortable after 1 or 2 wins and fall back to the same garbage.

It's back to 'good if they win' yet 'fine' if they go on a losing streak just so there is pressure built that the team needs to change dramatically.

Backlund is officially a "game time decision".

Looks like it was a very optional skate this morning...

I just don't think this is the kind of game you want to toss Rittich into. There is just too much pressure.

I still think a much better option would be to have him play tbe home games v. Vancouver and Edmonton this week, where tbe Flanes have been MUCH better. It is important to get Rittich games, but tbey absolutely also need to set him up for success.

Flames are good.
Canucks are bad.
When the Flames lose, CP gets really mad.

Go Flames.

That is completely unsurprising, and it is the obvious right decision.

Model yourself on the Golden Knights, not the Gully-era Flames.

It's more simple than that: play Tuesday's game, and win.

Not really because we’re playing the Canucks in Vancouver and not the Jets at home.

All day I have been dreading the game. Living in Victoria and listening to all the Canucks fans makes this a must win game for a team that just doesn't compete.

As if covid hasn't sucked the life outta the past 12 months as it has

How was it for the Flames wins?

This is much more must win for Canucks. Last game was for them even more so.

Just a reminder that Calgary is 3-1 Vs. the Canucks and up a point with 4 games in hand. Not to mention the only team that hasn't had a Sens series
