Oilers did nothing special either. They just played with the puck and the Flames for whatever reason threw the puck away at every opportunity and basically opened the door for them to take the lead.

They're not even trying.

Icing the puck and throwing it into the stands unforced is the stuff of intentional self sabotage.

More troubling is the trigger happy refs on Tkachuk. Touches a guy and gets two minutes. Reputation call. Neutralizes him as any sort of effective player.

How do you focus when Lucic is lined up against the McDavod line, and Froese is sent out to cover McDavid on the PP?

I'm not saying this is an elite team, but Geoff Ward isn't even giving them a chance with his insane decisions.
