It blows my mind that the Rangers gave this trash that contract just over 3 months ago. I will admit that some people have really shown their ugly side since that November event that may have been more than anticipated. But there are a lot of signs that this guy was a terrible team mate prior to this and now he's going to cost a heap of money and a buyout in the summer. As I said earlier can't think of a more deserving organization to earn this fate than the Rangers.

It sounds like Rangers fans hate him as much as anyone. It says something when your own fanbase doesn't even want anything to do with you.

Literally everyone: “Stay away from the racist, lockerroom toxic conspiracy theorist”
FlamesFanInEdmonton: “Just cause he’s conservative?”
Like there’s no way he isn’t trying to insult the cons with his response lol.

I'm conservative. That guy isn't just leaning right, his views are very extreme bordering on fascist

They don't have the cap space to add him without giving something up.

My personal favourite rumour about DeAngelo is him apparently making fake twitter accounts to #### talk teammates.
If that's true just..... Jesus man, get a grip

Personality aside, I think you can make an argument that DeAngelo has been the worst player in the entire NHL so far this yeah. He has been absolutely abysmal. I'm wondering why he's been so terrible.

I think it’s pretty obvious the suggestion was that if you have conservative views you’re somehow an idiot and a lesser person. I won’t argue any of that however as it’s pointless. Merely here to call people on their crap. I do enjoy the pile on however, another liberal strategy. Won’t serve its purpose of silencing me. This is a forum after all. I’d suggest some of you could do better. It would have been easy enough to point out this guy is a loser and a racist without bothering to throw in the rest. Then again, all conservatives are racist

Just a question to possibly save everyone’s time: Do you believe that Trump had the election stolen from him?

I would bet Detroit pucks this guy up. Yzerman will set him straight and the Wings could certainly use him.

Teams that can pick up a $4.8 million contract without sending something the other way:
Detroit (almost, would take a little maneuvering, but they can likely do it)
New Jersey
Ottawa
Los Angeles

Yzerman was the guy who drafted him and then traded him 2 years later because of the issues he was having in the AHL.
Probably wouldn't bet on it

The Rangers'll nail him on professional conduct then.
And it's likely they've compiled a paper trail of past transgressions. Thats a lot of money involved, so they're extra-mindful of following the letter of the law.
