The fans care way, way, way, way more than the team does. It’s been like that for awhile. Not sure the fix, but, I wouldn’t let this bs drag on because it’s not a lot different than what we have seen over the last few years. I’d give this team about 2-5 more games and if it’s the same old inconsistent ####, I would go nuclear and yes that means giving up on this season.

The best chance to make things happen because of how the divisions are aligned. Such a waste. But agree, this team cannot be led by the current "leaders".

Look, after one more game vs Mtl, they have their next 11 vs Wpg (4), Van (4) and Edm (3)

I’m going to give them 12 more games to see where they are at

I’d like to see:

Tkachuk - Lindholm - Mangiapane
Gaudreau - Monahan - Simon
Lucic - Bennett - Dube
Nordstrom - Backlund - Leivo

as our lineup next game.

Problem is that other teams play the Oilers and Canucks too. Free points. Although it is likely that we only split vs Edm and Winnipeg was no cakewalk in the loss either.

No, but I did say part of me would like to see the old top 2 lines plus the playoff third line

Because all 3 lines have worked

Also I’d consider pairings of Gio Hanifin and Tanev Andersson

Bennett hasn’t been awful since that disaster of a game where he took two penalties, and showed more jump in the 3rd period than pretty much anyone else tonight. Mangiapane also looks a bit lost without Lindholm and Tkachuk, and that threesome was great last season. It’s also about demoting Backlund, who, when looking at their abilities, has been the biggest under-performer of the season so far.

Just a whole lot of concerns for me.

I just don't like the lack of consistant effort, I really don't like the long periods of zero effort hockey, I outright hated almost all of the Flames push back this season.

So far, we've beaten Vancouver and . . . . well Vancouver, that's just not cutting it in any way.

I mean I hate using must win so early in a season, but its a short season, but things feel like they're getting out of hand.

True but you only have to be better than 3 teams

Sens suck
Oilers are 3 games under .500
Canucks are .500 because they swept the Sens

Yes, with a bit of luck it gets you where, first round right? With JG and Monahan leading the offense

Dube should be with Monahan and Gaudreau. I think he can play the Lindholm role from the purple drink days.

You really can't do much with the team this season...there will be very few major trades this year.

I wouldn't be scared facing any of these teams in the playoffs...all are worse than the Flames last two first round opponents.

See what happens and evaluate in the offseason. Markstrom could steal a round or two. Flames are playing poor and have lost 4 games by a combined 5 goals.

I hear you. Weird season so hopefully they can at least make a few $$$ from the playoffs
